No matter what people say these days, Pokemon remains one of the greatest franchises on the planet.
In the playground it was cool to play Pokemon if your level 100 Mewtwo was better than mine, You would be alot of people's best friend.
With all this hype a great game must be backing this right?
Dead Right.
Pokemon's gameplay was fairly simple to grasp, You were a young boy on a quest to become the greatest Pokemon Trainer and had to catch many 151 of these cute but different creatures. You had to fight them to get them stronger to collect the Gym Badges and take on the Pokemon League, Simple enough?
With 151 of the little buggers you have to spend a long amount of time completing this game and even more that the 40 to 100 if you want to get a good strong team.
The trading and battle functions for multiplayer were a great feature that I myself had spent many months against many people, Unfortunatly WiFi wasn't exactly in the old Game Boy's so you had to make do with annoying cables but at the time, It didn't matter much to most people.
The Graphics were rather simple but still pretty nice considering the even by that date old hardware you didn't exactly sit and stare for hours at the scenery but you didn't throw up either.
Same with the music it wasn't that advanced but fit in with the game well enough to sound like it wasn't just any old random track.
If I havent made it clear at this point - Get this game or even one of the sequels, I dont recommend Ruby and Sapphire personally but the rest of the Pokemon titles are great games that you will enjoy for hours, Ignore what people say nowadays, Pokemon is still as good and as fun as it was 10 years ago.
