After all these years, many Pokemon games have been released, and yet, this game still takes up the most in my heart. No game could ever touch my heart more than Pokemon Ruby, not even Pokemon Emerald! Why?

This game might not have better graphics then the Xbox 360, nor does it have the most addictive songs as Kirby Super Star, but it's definitely better then Pokemon Crystal/Silver. There are many unbelieveble upgrades, like graphics, sound, and even the Game Boy Advance itself! This was my ever first Pokemon game, and it took me 3 whole years to put it down and let it rot. Highly addictive.

You start the game in a moving truck. After a while, the door opens and you enter your new home in the new Pokemon land named Hoenn. (As you can see, there are BIG improvements on the graphics.) You explore your house a bit, then your hometown, Littleroot Town. As you enter the first route, you see Professor Birch (kinda like Professor Oak, but in Hoenn) being chased by a Poochyena, a wild dog-like Pokemon. You simply have no choice but to choose either Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip from Pokeballs in Prof. Birch's bag and battle the Poochyena so it can leave Prof. Birch alone. After you eventually beat the Poochyena (it should be no problem) Prof. Birch gives you the Pokemon you used to beat the Poochyena as a way of saying thanks. You decide to begin a Pokemon quest to become the Pokemon Master by collecting all 8 gym badges and beating the Pokemon League.

What really makes this game worth it is that there is a whole lota stuff still left to do after you become the Pokemon Master, and it takes a while to even get there! You can catch Groudon on the way to the 8th gym leader. After you become the Pokemon Master, you can catch Latios, Rayquaza, the three Regi, and much more! I strongly suggest you also pick up a copy of Pokemon Sapphire so you can catch 'em all, which may keep you occupied for more than a while...

I bought my GBA just so I can play this game. You will never quite understand how good this game is until you actually try it. If you don't like this game, then you're really missing out on some of the best games.
