Back in the day, when Pokemon Red and Blue were released, it seemed, with such a good game and such innovative creatures, it seemed that pokemon would never die. Now, several years later, it looks like the phenomenon is dying down. After six games, Nintendo and Game Freak had to do something innovative besides giving the game new monsters. The gameplay itself hasn't changed since the first game, and the games themselves weren't drastically different from each other. Now, after Gold and Silver versions, Nintendo released a new game in their once-popular franchise. It is a huge letdown, for the gameplay has been left untouched. The game is generally the same game as before, just with an extra coating of paint. Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent game, but its rehashed, and being rehashed for the 7th and 8th time is actually pretty good.
