The reason I said it's not the recycled version of ruby and sapphire is that this game focuses more on the battle frontier and some battling building or something.... instead of on pokemon contests. You can catch both groudon and kyogre (probably the reason why ppl say this game is remake of ruby/sapphire combined). Be happy you can catch them both -_- lol!!! Also, in this game, the pokemon moves (like in Pokemon Crystal). In the end, you can also have gold/silver pokemon! And, in this version, you are against both teammagma AND aqua....makes it a little more realistic (according to cartoon..that is!) In ruby, u are against only magma, and seems like u are WITH aqua...and vice versa in sapphire. Both teams are actually "bad guys" who use pokemon for selfish purposes (gain land/sea...). In conclusion.....great game.....u might get tired of the map (same with ruby/sapphire). If u have played ruby/sapphire not long ago, wait a few months before playing emerald! ^^
