Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire are the first Pokémon titles to be released on the GBA, after the popular and awesome Pokémon gold, silver, and Crystal for the Gameboy/Gameboy Color this title had to a lot to live up to, and after playing it I will say that I enjoyed the game, it was refreshing to see new Pokémon added with some of the older favorites, the game is standard for Pokémon you play as a trainer in which the goal is to be the best trainer by capturing all the Pokémon, defeating all the Pokémon gym leaders, and to be the Pokémon champion, as usual there is a crime organization that is built on dominating the world the team will be either Team Aqua or Team Magma depending on the version, and of course you start the game by choosing one of three starter Pokémon. Though the game was amazing I felt it was missing something, it was probably all of the other content that was in Gold, Silver, and Crystal such as the different contests and lottery drawings, but just because it did not have that did not make it a bad game, overall this is an excellent addition to the Pokémon series and fans of the games should get it.
