fun but gets boring

The Ruby version is just like the saphire version except different pokemon can be found like always. there are lots of new pokemon to collect and level up. if you played the previous versions then you'd probably enjoy this the Ruby and saphire best. there are a crap load of pokemon to find and collect and to get pokemon from kanto and johto you need pokemon colosseum and the fire red+leaf green versions.the new area is called Hoenn and you start off as either a boy or girl in a village you just moved to. the whole goal is to collect all of the pokemon and beat the Elite Four like previous games. its too bad there isn't enough things to keep you occupied besides leveling pokemon. anyway, i would say this game is fun so don't hesatate to buy it!
