A very good game for what it is.

Basically, what this video game is about is taking the tiny size of the Pokemon monsters in "Pokemon Blue/Red," fluffing them out into 3-D creatures with way better graphics and cooler looking besides, and making the moves look that much cooler to! While there's not much more that can be said of the game plot than that, for a "Pokemon" devotee such as myself, that was enough! Because with 150 possible Pokemon to choose from, fights always had to be done differently as far as strategies in what attacks to use against an opposing Pokemon went. Of course, the game wouldn't be worth mentioning if it weren't for the fun mini-games, such as Sandshrew digging to find water, Magikarp splashing to hit a button, and many other mini-games that were fun for the playing. Although it was wish fulfillment to see what the Pokemon creatures looked like in 3-D, all fleshed out for the very first time, and the graphics, gameplay, sound music, and overall control of the game was nothing short of perfect, the only drawback of the game is that there is no real deeper meaning to the game than just having Pokemon that can finally fight each other in 3-D. But for the time, no other experience came close as to what the "Pokemon" series could achieve when it came to better graphics, and it served its purpose and blazed the trail for better-looking "Pokemon" games that would come with the release of the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS. This game still holds a fond memory in my heart, and it is for that reason that I still salute this game! Enough said! ;)
