I hate timed action and doing this once at the very end of the game really sucked!

User Rating: 8 | Portal 2 PC
Been there, done that. Portal 2 was a lot of fun to play out in Easy mode yet there were parts too tough for me to figure out without getting some clues--which I did. I played one time through for 28 hours--perhaps a record long time since some thought it was so easy? On top of that the game ending was almost a game stopping disaster. Timed action for the only time at the very end of the game came close to ruining the game for me. After rest and thought I managed to get through just in time and no doubt this was how it plays out for most gamers but is not how I ever enjoy a game's final battles.

I can enjoy games that are 'been there, done that'. Much like Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Portal 2 was all about puzzles that in this case you are are forced to work out. The NPC personalities were great but is so often the case the story gets lost and/or in this case there is none to speak of. In fact it gets very complicated to figure out what the story was all about.

Still, I highly recommend this game even though I refuse to give it a real high rating--I suspect I am about the only gamer who vocally dislikes timed action sequences so much.
