This is one of the most satisfying single player games I have ever played, but nothing is perfect. I did not like the way the game would limit unit production even if you had enough villages or villagers. Otherwise, it was very engaging. I loved the scout units and the way different units were limited by terrian. I also enjoyed outwitting the AI, which was fairly good (though I wait for a really strong, adaptive AI). My wife got decidedly jealous of my time with this one. I rarely go multiplayer, so a game has to keep me occupied for a good long time in order for me to feel it was worth the cost. This one sure was.
