While trying to capitolize on Mortal Kombat's success - Primal Rage failed to do anything unique.
This was basically Mortal Kombat with animals and less innovative comat techniques. Button mashing could still get you wins here and the options of varying playables was dissapointing to say the least.
The game booklet itself came with such poor instructions it was hard to even know exactly what you were supposed to be doing. Where their combos? Were their finishers? Who knows?!
I suppose this is one way to get people to buy the strategy guide start searching for it on the net - but i doubt thats what they had in mind.
All in all - if you were looking for a fighter you could have done a lot worse since the game was mildly fun, but I'm not sure what made anyone put this game in over the Mortal Kombat series.
