A shiny new update for a great old gem

Prince of Persia Classic is a remake of the first and oldest Prince of Persia game from 1990. Its a must play for any PoP fan, and especially if you played and enjoyed it back in the day. It features great HD visuals, new controls like some eye candy wall rebounds and a faster jumps. The Prince no longer needs to take 2 extra steps to pull off a jump, but instead jumps immediately when you press the jump button, making it a lot easier to pull of those nasty jumps. The level designs are the same, but the combat was changed a bit and can become harder later on since everyone can block and parry and then counterattack almost instantly so it will take some getting used to and even practice.

If you know what you're doing, the game can be finished in less than 1 hour. But since this is a trial and error game it will take you many tries till you get it right. Thanks to the new save and checkpoint system you will probably finish it in few days, or less than 10 hours. The 1 hour time limit is separate now since there are 2 new modes, time attack and survival, in which you can attempt to clear the whole game without even dieing once and without the help of checkpoints. Sadly music is absent while playing, and that can be a big turnoff for some. The original was also silent, but its a shame some form of soundtrack wasnt included. Still this is a very fun and challenging game that can be unpredictable at times and will toss you a few surprises along the way.
