Fine, just fine...
If you played the DS POP game, Prince of Persia: The Fallen King, then you already have a good idea of how the PSP version of The Forgotten Sands works. The characters and environments are 3D, but all the action takes place in a sequence that is essentially either scrolling horizontally or vertically. The Prince still does all the acrobatic moves that have established the franchise in recent years -- leaping between poles, doing death-defying jumps between huge gaps only to barely catch a ledge -- but now you don't have to worry about whether you're lined up just right for the stunt you're trying to pull.
The Prince now has the ability to slow down and speed up specific objects in the world (only one at a time, mind you), meaning that along with having to be perfect in timing your jumps and rolls, you now have to manipulate specific objects on the fly in order to get through each environmental set piece. For example, in one area I had to slow down spinning blades one after another so that I could get around them, while another time I had to speed up and slow down beams of sand to either use them as objects to climb or as weapons, respectively. It's easy enough to do when you have as much time as you want, but in typical POP style, The Forgotten Sands often throws a series of timers at you forcing you to do flawless runs or die trying. And you will die.
OVERALL it's a fine game (not great, not bad, but just right)
