It could have been so much more and so much better.
2. Story - The game is set in the time period between the first game "The Sands of Time" and the second game "Warrior Within". The story starts with the Prince visiting his brother Malik in the kingdom once ruled by King Solomon. Once there, he finds his brother fighting a losing battle. He helps his brother out as far as he can, but to no avail. The enemy kept pushing with Malik losing his fort completely to the invaders. As a last resort, Malik releases the army of Solomon, an army not meant for mortal control, by using a medallion. The army turns out to be an army of Monsters of varying shapes, sizes and strength. The medallion soon separates into two halves, with each brother keeping one half. A sand storm sweeps the entire kingdom, turning everyone into stone. The medallion however protect the Prince and Malik. Trying to find a way to reunite with his brother, the Prince runs into a portal to the domain of the Djinn Razia. Razia chides him for his brother's recklessness and tells him that the army of Solomon was not Solomon's Army at all. It was in fact an army sent to kill Solomon, and the army was led by the leader of the Ifrit named Ratash, and Ratash would do anything for complete World Domination. Razia provides the Prince with the power to manipulate Time. She also notifies the prince that the medallion will absorb the power of all those the wearer kills, and transfer that power to the wearer. This would eventually make the wearer hungry for more power and ultimately leave him power crazed and distorted. Razia furthermore protects the Prince against such ill fate of absorption. The prince soon meets up with his brother and finds him even more power crazed than before, and with Ratash on his tail, he has little time to help Malik from the evil effects of the Medallion. Play the game to find out whether the Prince is able to save Malik and defeat Ratash.
3. Graphics - The graphics of the game are nothing great, but nothing bad as well. A decent graphics with an extraordinary settings, the game does a decent job of keeping up the graphical appeal of the atmosphere.
4. Music and Sound Effects - The music is changed from the music found in the Trilogy. And it sounded horrible. As for the sound effects, for the initial parts they were masked out by sounds of explosions (which were pretty good), and as we proceed later on in the game, the sound of Ratash's screaming and howling fill the air, and when none of these are present, the Prince starts his soliloquy.
A decent game, but I would recommend it for only Prince of Persia fans. Any first time player of the game will have a bad idea about the series.
