It's a nice game........if this was the year 2003 that is.
Forgotten Sands takes place between Sands of Time and Warrior Within. So to be straightforward, it's The Sands of Time game in next-gen graphics. The only difference is that in Forgotten Sands, you have upgrades and powers you can use to defeat your foes.
Other than that, it feels just the same. The Sands of Time was a great action/adventure game but wouldn't it be high time we've seen newer game-play? But of course, Forgotten Sands was released the same time as the Prince of Persia movie, so this game is basically a cash-in for developers.
It's not lazily made though that's for sure. Environments are well-detailed, characters have certain personalty to them and there are more foes on-screen than you can count. However, instead of creating a sort of sandbox environment like Prince of Persia 2008, the game follows the same design as Sands of Time.
You can use rewind but there is no slow-motion for some reason in this version. You have your usual traps to avoid, doors to beat before they close and sliding down a curtain with your sword ripping it in half.
The game isn't all that bad, you at least have challenge mode to test your agility and execution.
