PoP: The Sands of Time is an enchanting game that includes a great story, cast of characters and exciting storybook atmo
The graphics and sound are in a word, awesome. The environments are richly textured and well varied. The entire game has a dreamy, hazy look to it which puts a lot of atmosphere into the Arabian Nights-like theme. Character animations are smooth and transition from one to another seamlessly. Music is very fluid, changing from peaceful one moment to somewhat out-of-place rock the next. The sound effects are incredible, providing all of the combat/movement noises you'd expect to hear, along with the great voicework push this attribute to the max.
The Sands of Time is okay in terms of length. A little bit more wouldn't have gone amiss, but I spent enough time with this game to feel satisfied once the credits began to roll. One reason for this was a glitch that caused me to have to restart the game, but this just allowed me to play through the highly enjoyable story all over again. Replay value depends on how much you liked the game first time through and you can unlock the original Prince of Persia.
Overall, this is an outstanding achievement when it comes to video games and will always remain a favorite in my collection.
