This is one of the best games I have EVER had the privlege of playing. Absolutely stunning.

User Rating: 9.2 | Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time PS2
Oh man, where to start, where to start. How about the addictive gameplay, colorful characters, interesting story-line that keeps you at the edge of your seat, boss battles, cool sand powers, or that you can run up walls and what-not? This is one of my favorite games EVER. I still and replaying it to this day(I picked it up on launch).

Gameplay-
You control a prince. He controls time. Pretty cool, eh? HECK yea!! This prince can also do flips, run up walls, and hangs out in his suped-up daddy's palace. All right, let's get down to business. When the story starts out, we see the prince as a head-strong individual wo wants honor and glory for his kingdom to be. But, he is duped into unleashing the sands of time by the Vizier, which turns every single person into a sand creature. From the start, the Prince only starts out with a tiny little bar of health, and only a few sand tanks. As the story progresses, the Prince's abilities, sand tanks, and health bar grows. This is just one of the cool features of the game. The plot is basically the Prince getting from the palace to the VIzier's tower, located ( very conveniently I might add) at the farthest end of the palace. As this may sound a little lame , seeing how you might think that it would only take an hour or two to get their, let me give you a brief overview into the story. WARNING: SPOILERS. SKIP THIS PART IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE PLOT.

The Prince must get from the main entrance hall. Boss fight. He goes to find Fara who runs away. Sets up the palaces defense system.......................................................(about five hours of gameplay later) gets stuck in the torture chamber, five stories underground. Has to get back up. Goes through the sewer system. Get my point???

Beleive me, you won't feel cheated at the end of the game. Also, the Prince's moves consist of pressing X to jump over the enemy, then doing a combo, or slashing at the enemy with box and then getting it's sand with triangle. As this May sound a little boring after a while, it doesn't get boring at all. Throughout the story, you will learn new moves that wil help you dispatch enemies more efectively. The control interface is excellent, you are never looking at the controler, or trying to remember complicated combos.Never.Period.

Graphics-
The graphics are excellent. Playing in lush, softly lighted, environments actually make you feel as if you were in Persia. The Prince looks very detailed and his weapons and movements are fluid and detailed as well. The one comlpaint that I had were the AI characters were a little bleah looking. That didn't upset me too much though.

Sound-
I love this game's sound, because:
1) It never gets old
2) The music is perfect for the environments and situations that you're in.
The music never gets old because it's great. When you are playing, and you're just walking around, the music is nice and soft and toned down. When enemies attack, however, the music turns to rock(Freakin' sweet, man!!).

Value-
I gave this game a 6 in value because, with Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones coming out in December, you might want to get the newer versions instead. However, this game holds sooooo much replay value, that I still play it today.

Overral-
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is my all time favorite action-adventure game, and if you are looking for a game that will rope you in with it's story-line, gameplay and beautiful graphics, run out to the store and buy this game.Now.Immidiately.Do ti. What are you waiting for you lazy bum??GO.RUN!!!!
