Even though this game is quiet old, it's still a lot of fun, and although the concept is simple, you just wanna continue
-Gameplay
The gameplay is actually very simple. You could say, that theres two different kinds of gameplay in Prince of Persia. One, where you jump from ledge to ledge, or swings from rope to rope, or running on the walls and so on. The other one is the combat. Both are very easy, and almost everyone can pick them up without any fuzz. It has got it's strengths on the puzzle/platformer side (unlike God of War).
-Graphics
Prince of Persia's graphics is actually quiet nice for an '03 game... the environments and characters are detailed, and the animations are sweet. There's also some very nice detailed cut-scenes.
-Sound
I have no idea if it's my copy of the game, or the Ps2 version of The Sands of Time or whatever, but the sound is a little strange sometimes. like if you play a game from 96' and take the sound quality from there... other times it's spot on and has a good amount of quality to it. Though the voice acting sometimes can be a little low in terms of volume.
-Story
The story is brilliant. You get a nice lump of it within the first hour in the game, but after that, you won't discover much of the main story until the end. In the meantime, the prince and Farah (The daughter of the Indian Sultan) has their own story going on. It's got a surprising ending, and overall, the story is just worth playing through the game for.
-Value
I've just completed this game for the first time ever, and i will probably do it again some more times. All the puzzles are very addicting and the feeling after completing one of the more difficult levels is awesome.
-Reviewer's Tilt
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is an instant classic. The story, the gameplay and many other things feels very original. If you're still unsure, then at least give it a shot by renting it.
