Successfully combines the elements of the two previous games to produce a winner, best game of the trilogy hands down.
Here is where Rival Swords (AKA Two Thorns) comes in, having the experience from their two previous productions, the team set out to create a satisfying ending all the while mixing both elements of platforming and combat into what turned out to be a winner, the game never feels biased or heavy on either element, the mix is just so balanced that it's just too sweet.
Graphics are nothing to rave about, it's your standard 128-bit look with exotic locations and enough bright eye candy to keep you enticed, more reminiscent of Sands of Time than Warrior Within no doubt, so if you missed the first game's visuals you'll rejoice here. Gameplay is what makes the game here and it's basically 50% of Sands of Time with 50% Warrior Within mixed just right (as mentioned above).
I applaud the team for nailing down the formula and delivering such a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, they deserve a pat on the back for their effort and a huge thank you card. Jordan Mechner should be proud.
If you enjoyed the previous two games of the trilogy you have no reason barring you from picking this game up regardless of the platform. However, the Wii edition is not worth it if you already played The Two Thorns.
