The Prince of Persia the two thrones is one of the best games to end off the year as well as the current generation. I've played both of the previous games in the serious and this is the best. The sands of time ( the 1st game) introduced amazing gameplay that combined puzzle solving, exploration, excellent action and gameplay, a good story and introduced quite memorable characters. The 2nd game, (warrior within) was a great disappointment to me. The graphics were bad, the music sucked and was not very engaging, the setting sucked, (excellent example of backtracking being overdone), the story was a little disappointing as well as the prince's personality. The only thing it had going for it was the great fighting system, which got old and unenjoyable because enemies were weirdly hard (i mean stupid, annoying hard, trust me i like hard, ninja gaiden hard, but this was just stupid). In the 2 thrones, the great fighting system is back, revamped and more reactive, the prince is back to him old self, great story ( farah and the vizer are back!!!!) and of course the music. Great additionals are the dark prince who has wicked crazy moves, although since his health is always decreasing, you are forced to use him in a timelimit, which detracts from his enjoyability. Speed kills are nice element, which makes fighting less repetitive and quicker. Chariot steering could be better and longer but still decent and controls work very intuitively, more so than the previous games. Also the puzzle solving is the best you can get. My only complains are the graphics, just the in game graphics are low quality, like warrior within. And the fact that you don't have your own swords any more, just the dagger of time and a side arm from a fallen enemy. also the narration is back from the first game, thank god, and boss fights are alot better. And the prince is always arguing with the dark prince, which makes a quite enjoyable experience. All in all a great game, sequel and ending chapter for the series.
