A complete overhaul makes for a completely different style of gameplay.

Because of the Prince's now infamous "Baditude," PoP:WW is a completely different game than its predecessor. Gone is the story book aspect of an approved-for-all-ages classic, replaced by repetitive one liners and somewhat repetitive combat. That's not to say that this isn't a good game any longer, just don't expect the same level of innocence as the first game. In fact, the story is one of the coolest ones I've ever seen in a video game. The character that you play as later in the game seems incredibly unbalanced, and one usually begins to rely on his certain benefits. Beware of doing this, especially as you enter the final battle sequence. The graphics aren't as polished as they could be, and the palette seems made of only browns and reds. Going back in time makes the fortress a little more like the one from PoP: SoT, but again with the loss of innocence. The female characters possess certain "physical attributes" that are "laughably pronounced." Take that how you will. The sound is a bit annoying (well, REALLY annoying) after a few hours within the game. The one liners are cheesier than Army of Darkness, without any of the instant quotability. Swords sound realistic, but don't sound too different from one another. The game seems considerably longer than SoT, but it's tediously repetitive. Unless you're playing this game 15-20 hours straight through, you'll likely forget what you're doing. Personally, I had to restart the game 10 hours through because I couldn't remember what was going on. All in all it's a good game though, rent it for a long weekend.
