I enjoyed this game more than the first one. Much more actually. The free form fighting is awsome!

I like to keep my reviews short and right to the points I believe people wish to know. So let’s get started. This game improves on Sands of Time in every way except for the playful graphics. There is so much difference in Warrior Within, from graphics, sound, music, story, theme, fighting, puzzles, etc, you will not feel like you are just playing part 2 of an existing game. It feels new and fresh, but not to new that it feels foreign. I whooped this game in a few days. Under 20 hours. Graphics – I must say I like the new graphics. It also makes it feel like you are playing another game and not just a part 2. There is some really good lighting effects, you will often find your self just looking around at the scenery as if on vacation. The garden level looks so nice, beautiful trees, lighting etc. Sound – I really enjoyed the sound, however I wish there was some more Arabian type sounds. The lack of Arabian style makes it feel more like a Pirate game, however this works well. Game Mechanics – I cannot say enough about the new game mechanics. The fighting system, well, ROCKS! Once you learn how to do the moves, you can string together a very free form FUN time. The fighting mechanics is done so well you could play your favorite levels over and over. When you are bored and just want to kick some ass, pop this game in. The different fights and camera angels time slowing, will leave lasting memories. And you will want to share how you ripped some ones head off bounced off the wall jacked some foos and so on. Puzzles – I must say the puzzles are so unique it adds a new feeling to the game. Unlike the Tomb Raider series, where you felt like, yup did this, done that, in ever new game they made, this changes it up enough to feel like a new game. Some of the puzzles, and levels are difficult and you might find your self running to the game guide. Boss fights – The boss fights were good. I only wish there was a few more of them. Special moves – I loved the special moves. Specially this one the screen goes red and you go crazy, you move mad fast. AI – The AI is good, none of the enemies are a push over. Short comings. Do not let this take away from how awesome the game is, but I feel the need to tell what I wished was better. 1. A few more memorable boss battles. 2. Get rid of that fog level, dang that was annoying. 3. Some camera angel issues in a few spots, but very minor. 4. Needs a button to get out of fighting mode, to turn it off for you can run normally past enemies. 5. I did not like how you went to the same parts of levels. Going once in the past then present was cool, but some levels you had to go to many times. And there was a few times the game does not give you much of a clue where to go in this very open map. Another words you could go all the way back to the beginning of game, even though you are almost finished with the game. This makes it very easy to get side tracked and confusing where to go next. Despite the short comings, I love the game more than the first one. I had loads of fun kicking ass.
