Darker tone, better graphics, awesome acrobatic abilities, astonishing enemies, amazing environments... etcetera, etc.

User Rating: 9.8 | Prince of Persia: Warrior Within PS2
Sequels are pretty hard to come up with because the producers have probably run out of game play ideas and such. But with POP: WW, this is not the case. The first major aspect you notice about the game as you begin playing it is its graphics. The character, environment and weapon design are beautiful. The atmosphere of the game is darker (character with black hair, bigger muscles, scarier foes, darker environments etc.) thus making the game more mature. Even the ESRB rating is mature. The darker part of the game is in the present (a time portal can be used to go into the past and present). In some cases the prince has to travel back in time in order to open paths in the future. This blend of past and future makes the storyline astonishing. The coolest part of the story (for me) was when you saw a human-like monster, which comes out to be you at the end. Even if a person does not pay much attention to the storyline, they will be amazed by the weapon system and acrobatics of the prince. The old run-against-the-wall feature still remains, but this time two swords can be held simultaneously making more combos available to the player. The sound was also very well picked out. The right music was played at the right time (silent and soothing when no enemy is lurking around, and rock when an opponent approaches). If a sequel has been released already. A third title probably awaits Prince of Persia fans in the producers’ office.
