Good gameplay and puzzles make for a great PSP addition to the series.

User Rating: 8 | Prince of Persia Revelations PSP
Prince of Persia:Revelations is your typical action game that you would expect from the series. So none of the formula is changed. It is a nice and long game with clever puzzles to work out and good combat. There are additional levels to defeat which make for a great handheld experience and the story line is pretty solid and interesting.

Gameplay (non-combat):

PoP:R has great gameplay with many exciting and challenging puzzles to get your head around. Level design is once again brilliant from Ubisoft which means you will be pulling off more fast wall runs, death-defying leaps and tense ledge hangs. This is the main attraction of the game and PoP:R manages to pull this off very well. The sands of time allow you to, when you are about to fall to your death, turn back time so you can carry on as normal. These are in limited supply though. 9/10

Gameplay (combat):

Comabt in this game is very solid with lots of exciting and deadly combos to pull of from your basic hack and slash to jumping on an opponents back, doing a back-flip and slicing his spine up at the same time. This variety allows for an engaging and challenging combat experience with definitley makes this game more fun to play.8/10

Story:

The story in PoP:R is not amazing but it is not average. You have your usual deal with fate, roaming around a sort od midle-eastern setting with deserts and big stony castles. You are told that you will die at some point inn the near future so you set off on a quest to go and kill some massive thing guarding the sands of time (I can't remeber what it was) so that you can defy your fate. Its enough for a good bit of motivation to embark on the deadly quest. 8/10

Graphics:

For a PSP game, the graphics arn't bad but they are not particulary good. It's adequate though to keep an engaging and fullfilling gaming experience. 7/10

Some minor flaws is that the spinning of the UMD means that pieces of speech and music die out and then come back again which is quite annoying. The camera can sometimes be a little obsructing but most of the time it is good. Loading times are quite long.

Overall, a great PoP title for the PSP which is well worth the buy if your a fan of PoP or a general PSP gamer.
