I never got totally in to it.

I agree with the Gamespot reviewer that the darker Prince of Persia falls a little flat. I was particularly struck at the beginning of the game at the heavy metal soundtrack and when the Prince calls the woman **** It just had a non-prince of persia feel. As the game went on, I didn't notice as much, but overall I think the game suffers from getting rid of the fairy-tale /1001 nights feel of the Sands of Time, and the predecesor Prince of Persias for that matter. I will but the Two Thrones, but I hope it is more of a return to the sands of time.

I also found the comments in combat annoying and out of place.

It is still a great game, and I'd recommend it to anyone, and I couldn't possibly NOT have played it, but I never found myself totally immersed in it. Maybe it was because of the different vibe, or maybe it was because alot of the game is going through areas that you've been to before.

I suppose at this point I wouldn't sound entirely credible saying its good game. But IT IS a good game. When you compare Prince of Persia games to other games, they are almost as a rule superior. I guess that Warrior Within had a lot to live up to, and it's difficult to look at in isolation.
