I went into this game feeling betrayed, I went out a firm believer that change is GOOD.

I was pretty annoyed that they had dumped the Sands of Time Storyline for this new Prince, with no background and no charm when compared to his predecceser. The game play is a poor imitation of the other games, but if this is your first dive into the realm of PoP, you'll be amazed. If you've played any of the other games, than it will take a little bit longer. Because although this is a poor imitation, it's the differences you'll love the most. Here's a few:

1) This time round, the Prince has a companion, Elika, one which will save him if he trips before he jumps off a ledge, or if the enemy gets an upper hand, she'll revive you (and, for fairness sake, the enemies health will go up too). If your jumps's a little short, she'll teleport to you, and fling you to wherever you wanted to go. She'll even conjour up a little ball of light to guide you on your way,

2) Instead of a wide variety of enemies, there's a total of five, which you will try to assassinate on your quest.

3) A major difference is the new Princes ability to jump to wall, than run along it. Before, he could only jump to a wall, than run up. This little difference means the game can now be open world, you can revisit place you've been to before, an act that is made even easier by Elika's ability to teleport you to...any place you've been before.

It's a really good game, and though the New Prince has none of the Old's charm, he has is own, dopey, less witty charm. Sarcasim that makes you smile, the dialougue is good. Though you may try to hate it, it's like hating a scooby-doo teddibear. So what if it's a bad likeness, it didn't do anything to you. Overall, a great game. Fantastic. Even if you hate the Sands Of Time trilogy, there's a good chance you'll like this. It's funny, it's fun, it's immersive, it firmly reminds me of the movie "Up".

I'm going to end my review with something different than usual: A list of what I want from the new PoP games that will hopefuly come out soon.

1)New weapons. I don't mean like the weapons you could weild with your second hand in the games, I mean ones that are faster, slower weaker, stronger, ones that can stun, ones that can knok back enemys, ones that affect his arial moves, ect.

2) Bosses, more of them, with a more variaty. The ones that the other games have are O.K., but there aren't enough of them, and they feel the same. People are fine to kill, but what about the giant three headed dog? What about a dragon? Medusa? A Hydra? Some Persian God? Use your imagination!

So, in conclusion, a great game, buy it, yadda yadda yadda, ect,

See you in my next review!
