Another one of those 'budget' title tycoon games, but this game is not even worth the budget price.

Rollercoaster Tycoon started the trend of the 'tycoon' games and set the bar pretty high, but most of the companies nowadays chrning out tycoon games aren't even trying. They spit out a cheap product hoping to ride the wave of success that RCT has established in the gmaing industry. But Prison Tycoon falls short of this bar.

The game has its moments. The graphics are by no means shoddy, and the background music fits in with the whole prison theme. I particularily liked the level of customizsation, placeing a pre-made building as an empty shell, then going inside to place individual objects for your inmates.

But the camera controls are horrendously complex, moving around the prison yard is a pain, and I've had the game crash several times on a high-end PC, making for a rather save-intensive game.

If You can pick this game up for $5 on EBay, it's worth a look. But anything more would just be a waste of money.
