Pro Cycling Manager 2006 boasts a full TDF licence...and it shows. The routes are exactly correct, but they also are now programmed to alternate each year. The game is more than playable straight out of the box and previous versions stability and bug issues seem to be largely eradicated. 06 gets a better graphics engine and is easier to play, particularly with a series of tutorials.

There are several modes of gameplay, from individual stages or stand-alone tours to a full career with any team. The career mode is little different but the developers claim it now provides accurate results two decades on from the game's start date. There is also the option of online play.

If you have even ever wanted to be slightly more involved in pro-cycling PCM 06 is a good buy that provides great longevity.
