well, i don't know about the rest of the PES fans but i usually judge this game base on the multi-player not on the single player mode. really if i wanted to play a game based on franchise modes I'd rather play EA sports but this game is fun solely based on the one-on-one match-ups against your friends but for some reason or another they managed to mess this game up worst than last year's game. To begin the passes in this game stinks, is like playing with a bunch of blind a legless idiots, the ball usually never gets to the target intended to and if does go in the direction you hope its usually intercepted by a closing defender since it seems players in this game don't want to ruin their polish kicking the ball hard enough. second, it seems to me the game is even slower than before, i don't where you guys get the idea that the game is faster than last year's but well thats not at all a big deal, but i was really hoping for improved AI from the defense side of the ball but once again the players not controlled by you are as dumb as dumb can be, they usually will just stay static watching as your friend blows by them and as usual with just the simplest juke your defender will get beat all the time. You really have to be a good guesser to steal the ball away but sometimes that doesn't even help. the double team button (square) doesn't help much either since the second defender usually always gets beat especially when he comes rushing in, he'll just get blown by with a single jerk of the ball, the goalie as with last year's game is pretty useless as well, might as well call him grandpa the way he moves when faced on a one-on one situation. the graphics seem to me were better last year than this year's. the movement of the players seem less fluid. everybody who has played the game has said the same thing so is not just me who noticed the lack of effort by Konami on their animation. there are also other annoyances in the game, like it's crappy music among others but if i were to name them all this review would be even longer, i really had hoped for an improved game over the 2007 version but I'm really disappointed, i actually rather play 2007 than this garbage. hope 2009 is the savior of this franchise, I'm still a big fan of PES, the game is still ahead of FIFA i believe, graphically, just hope for a better product next year
