I am one of the backwards people still using & enjoying the PS2 console, so I got both perenial soccer games, like every year for the past 5 years. I was very pleased with FIFA 10, since EA retained most of the features of the current generation consoles' versions, especially the amazing 360 control. Konami, what are you doing? Were you all working on the PS3 & XBOX 360 versions, and forgot about us old school gamers? You gave us the exact same game as last year's, well 90% of it, the other 10%, it came from the 2005 version in the form of the champion's League, and the 2007 in playability. What a shame, I dont quib about the graphics, since they are very good for the genration of hardware, but... can you justify the loss of all the sofware goodies from the PS2 version, the 360 control, the cool performance sliders, the AI, etc, which is missing from this version, WHY??? Is this segment not good enough for your efforts? Can't you give us a bit more for our money? Now, for the good stuff, the UEFA tournament is great, perhaps the main and only worthy addition this year, the feeling you get from the experiance is unparalleled, playing a final with Real Madrid against Milan in Santiago Bernabeau, 2-1 win, wow. The AI is little better, but still feals like a game with limited control, the atmosphere is good. Presentaion; is just a different color palette, with better music than before, since finally Konami noticed that not all customers are Japanese. I would give you points over the compition, in the huge number of national teams, and tournaments, the fast pace different gaming experiance, but for a single player, it is a stiff game. I prefer the season on FIFA since the AI is deeper, and more realistic. Finally, you gave this year the best of 07, 05 & 09 PES. Will you give us something new next year, if ever? If not, then drop this platform, and be over with it, gamers demand value for money for a full priced title, pleae. The game is ok, but I prefer to pay 1/2 price for it. I am getting an XBOX 360, will get back to you then. Long live the PS2 console. As promised, I put my hands on the game on a PS3, result? Graphics and presentation, the newer gen console is way better of course. Playability? the PS2 rules, why? Here goes, for some unknown reasons the developers, for the third staight year decided to forego the offline multiplayer game. To setup a tournament, say Champions League with 3 friends in the same room with a team each, Man U, Real Madrid & Barca, when say Real is playing say Porto on a group game, on anything but the PS2, no other human can control Porto. In my book this is a travesty, since when you eliminate COM opponents in this mode of play, it is an absolute blast, with all the drama & atmosphere envolved. Playing this way is THE WAY to play the game off line. For this ability on the PS2 alone, the game offers a much better experience than on any other platform, and of course the PS2 RULES. I wonder if Konami will ever rectify this fatal design flow on the PS3, XBOX 360, and the PC, the game will be 10 fold the better for it. Let us hope, pray, and keep rocking on the PS2. Simply this IS the best version of the game
