Finally, we see the Sun!!!
by *2wingos_Wife on Comments
After months and months of winter, winter, more winter, and rain, the sun is now shining brightly, the wind is warm, and the rivers and lakes are deep and wide, perfect for swimming. It's funny, I've never been too big on swimming (I've never even worn a bikini), but now I can't wait to get out to the beaches! It's finally, truly summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Cabo San Lucas! We came home a day or two early because Josh contracted dysentery. He's fine, he just needs to drink lots of fluids for a while.
But it was so much fun while it lasted! Beautiful beaches, blue water, the most romantic sunsets I've seen since our first honeymoon in the Bahamas. It's good to be back though, because I so missed my little ones.
Hi Everyone!!!!!!!!

It was a little cloudy today in Cabo San Lucas, but it's so beautiful here. Josh and I have been having a wonderful time. I just thought I'd give a quick post to let you all know I haven't forgotten about you. I miss my babies, but it's only for another week and a half, so I'll survive. Bye!
Tomorrow's the Big Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wedding takes place in roughly 25 hours. I'm spending the day at my parents' house so there's no chance Josh will see me in my dress. All the details have been taken care of. And best of all, Josh and I settled on a compromise: While he agreed to shave his beard and sideburns, and he'll allow the front and sides of his hair to be cut short, he's keeping it long in the back.
To all my friends out there who can't be at the wedding in person, I know that you will be with us in spirit. However, neither Josh nor I will be posting any of the wedding pictures here nor anywhere else. I'm sorry, but I have my reasons.
Well, wish me luck, as this will very likely be my last post for the next 2 weeks. Love you all!

After much deliberation, Josh and I have finally agreed on the song that we will dance to at the reception. It will be I See My Future In Your Eyes by Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes.
More Good News: Since we were presented with the problem of feeding the babies since I wouldn't be around to breast-feed them, we decided to try some of those infant formulae (since normal cows' milk is much too strong for children their age). Imagine my shock when they took to the bottle almost immediately. The formula made them a little gassy, but they are otherwise just fine. This means that Josh and I can leave them with my parents while we are on our honeymoon.
Remaining Problems: Thus far I have had no luck at all in trying to convince Josh to shave his mutton-chop sideburns and cut his mullet. He looks like a blond version of Mr. Achy-Breaky himself, Billy Ray Cyrus. Those things just don't look good on a guy in a tuxedo, no matter how carefully coordinated. *sigh* Men . . .

First, I hope you all noticed my new banner: Cthulhu, the squid-beast from H.P. Lovecraft's book series. I find it depressing that these days, when you ask someone if they are into Lovecraft, they think it's some kind of sex game.
Anyway, here's what we have so far: The wedding will take place at noon in April 20th. I will stay at my parent's house the night before so there's no chance that Josh will see me in my dress before the wedding. The ceremony might take a while, as the officiating priest will be giving it in Latin and will require translation. After that, we go to a famous resort in town for the reception, where we'll cut the cake and have our wedding dance. I want the song to be something romantic, like That's Amore by Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra, but Josh is firmly set on it being either the Southside Johnny rendition of Expressway to Your Heart or the Blues Brothers rendition of Jailhouse Rock.
Finally, once this is over, we go off to our (technically second) honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We're still mulling over whether or not to bring the children with us.
I am officially depressed.

It's March 28, right? And spring started almost a week ago, right? Well guess what? It's snowing outside right now, and we're expected to get a foot or more of snow tonight. I know that I should be happy with my wedding day coming up in about 23 days, but I miss the sun! Oh well, I suppose it's like Josh says: Up here in this part of the country, they don't have Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. They have Still Winter, Road Repair, Almost Winter, and Winter.
Oh, and thank you, SparkleFarkle, for telling me about Allegra's Window.

I've been so swamped for . . . however long it's been since I've logged, but at least I return with good news: Josh's and my wedding is to take place on the 20th of April. The date was chosen by Josh because it marks the coincidence of the Jewish Holiday Passover, the Christian Sabbath, and the waxing of the moon to full. He's not normally a superstitious person, but he doesn't want to take any chances, and frankly I agree. The preparations are being worked out as we speak, but I STILL haven't been able to find a wedding dress that I really like that comes in my size or easily adjusted to such. I've got a good feeling about this one store across town, though, that we haven't looked in yet.
The twins, I'm proud to say, are doing quite well. They're still having trouble holding on to things, but their muscle movement is definitely becoming smoother and more purposeful.
It's becoming increasingly hard to allow the children to watch TV while Nickelodeon is on because they show SpongeBob Squarepants so much, and Josh and I have agreed to not allow them to watch it. Daytime television is really declining in terms of quality.
