As you've read in my previous blog post, I was gone for a few days because I was visiting my relatives in San Antonio, Texas for a family reuinion. While it is nice to see such family members again, their barbecues are such a pain in the butt. I mean, having to wait in the hot sun, lack of decent food (burnt pig intestines, anyone?), and don't even get me started on the latrines.

At least Saturday was a huge improvement over Friday. One of my relatives gave me $20.00 for Easter money (I thank her dearly for that), and I was able to use the money to buy a new Nintendo DS game. The game I bought was Zoo Tycoon DS 2, yet also referred to as Zoo Tycoon 2 DS, because of the way the title art's represented. Many people (including myself) say that Zoo Tycoon DS 2 is a huge improvement over its predecessor, Zoo Tycoon DS, and for many good reasons. More animals are up for adoption, including the prehistoric Triceritops and the sea-bound Dolphin, and new Zookeeper mode lets you be the zookeeper, seeing the animals in a 3D perspective, and performing tasks on them, including feeding, healing, and cleaning. I highly recommend Zoo Tycoon DS 2 to all Zoo Tycoon fans.

Anyway, I am glad to be home, and for what events are on the way. My upcoming belated Easter present will be Volume 1 of the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) on DVD. Anyone who's seen his videos knows who he is, and this is his first DVD volume. The DVD contains all his reviews from 2006 right down to the Bible Games Xmas Special, with, of course, copyrighted Movie Clips and Music removed and replaced with new original footage and a new original soundtrack. In my opinion, owning this DVD will make me a true AVGN fan.

So anyway, as this blog post ends, I hope all my friends on Tv.com have a happy Easter.

The Reason?

We're visiting our relatives in San Antonio, Texas. Thus, I will not be on Tv.com for a few days. I will return home on Monday and shortly after, tell you all about it.

First off, I would like to apologize to all my friends here on Tv.com for not creating a new blog post in almost six months. I'm currently working on "Freak Week", a series of reviews of my favorite characters, and I am having a hard time uploading pictures.

As we all know, yesterday was Christmas Day, and I had what I believe was the best Christmas I ever had. First, my family liked the presents I bought them. I bought my mother a serving spoon with an easy-to-squeeze button at the end, I bought my father a talking Simpsons mug, in honor of the Simpsons Movie, now on DVD, I got my sister an earring holder in the shape of the Eiffel Tower, and I got my brother two new Bionicle robots and some squid ammo.

As for me, I got every toy and video game I wanted, plus more. Some of the gifts I got include:

My favorite is Molly.  She is a yellow steam engine (not too many engines on Sodor are yellow) who likes to feel important about herself.  When she was assigned to pull empty freight cars, she felt rather ashamed because she thought they weren't important, but Thomas had a plan to make Molly feel special, which ended up backfiring.  In the end, Molly's freight cars were important after all, because the engines needed them for their night time deliveries.

Yes, that's right!  James goes Buzz Buzz is coming to DVD for the first time ever!  Specially marked DVDs come with a free Honey Car for the Thomas Wooden Railway, so engines can deliver honey! This DVD is coming July 24th, so I am likely to get this after my next birthday, with my birthday money.  Once again, sorry I couldn't post the link, but it is available on Amazon.com if you want to see it.

Because I have been addicted to Youtube, therailwayinspector's Thomas Model Adventures has become my second favorite fan-made Thomas Series on Youtube (CombineHarvester01's Thomas Model Series is my favorite). I am looking forward to season 2, because it will have new stories as well as the narrow gauge engines.  The order of my top 5 favorite episodes may change when Season 2 comes, so here are my top 5 favorite Thomas Model Adventures episodes so far:
5. Dirty Goods Train
Gordon the Express engine is expecting to pull some smart coaches, but the Fat Controller wants him to pull a goods train.  Unfortunately, the troublesome trucks get the better of him.
4. Good Work Oliver
Oliver the Great Western Engine catches a cold, and he's not sure if he can still run on time.  However, Alfie the Excavator tells him he is the only engine who can rescue Jeffrey when he breaks down.
3. Elizabeth Tells the Truth
Elizabeth the Vintage Lorry is getting engines into trouble by telling lies about them.  However, the engines have a plan to get her to tell the truth.
2. Gordon the Middle Engine
Gordon the small green tank engine boasts about never being a middle engine when he sees Tom between coaches and trucks, but the Fat Controller gets Sonic the Speedy Diesel to shunt some coaches in front of Gordon when he's pulling Rocky the Crane.

Queen Elizabeth II comes to visit the Island of Sodor, but Jeffrey becomes jealous of her.  He derails her so that he can pull the express by himself.  However, he breaks down from doing so, and Queen Elizabth refuses to rescue him because of what he did to her earlier.

Since it's the last day of February, here come March's updates. Please note that I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do in February updates, so I will do some of those things as well. Right now I only want to tell you about the new updates. I recently became interested in getting wooden trains from the Maxim railway. I want to use the Erie steam engine as Black the express engine and the Amtrak/Acela high speed train as Sonic & Boom the competitive twin high speed diesels. Credit goes to Youtube's therailwayinspector for the inspiration, as Black and Sonic belong to him. (I just revised Sonic and gave him a twin brother, Boom.)
