September 16 To November 2 Stinks

Okay, it's well beyond September, but that's where everything always goes down hill....

The muffler was fixed for free (I love my local mechanic!). Don't know what I'd do without a car. I live in the middle of nowhere. If not for the internet I wouldn't even be able to get anything on DVD -- for a reasonable price that is.

Anyway, after the muffler fell off my car my best boyfriend of 18 & 1/2 years finally succumbed to age and died. Orac was the best cat in the world. A sleek, graceful, tuxedo kittie with the sweetest purr I've ever heard. He was always there for me. He out lived two (human) jerks who sponged off of me instead of getting their own stinking job. He was there as I went through one pointless job after another until I got where I am now. He was one of the best friends ever.

Cats have nine lives. I hope to see him again.

My Mother died on September 21, 2001.

Stubby (another cat) moved in of his own accord just after Thanksgiving 2001 and vanished on September 28, 2003.

Travis was put to sleep on November 2, 2005 after a long ordeal with a curable illness we almost caught in time.

Soolynn (Travis's sister kittie) was put to sleep on October 6, 2006 because she had the same curable illness but we just didn't have the money.

Orac died on September 16, 2007 due to age.

September 16 toNovember 2 stinks.

Poor Car

My poor car! I was half way out of the parking garage when.... clunk, grind, grind, grind.... Pull back into a stall, look under the car, and the muffler is hanging lose from the engine! Good thing my Supervisor was there. He kindly hooked the thing back in place with a wire coat hanger. Now I have to take itto a mechanic. Wonder how much that's gonna cost?

It could be worse. It could have been the engine. Jerry might not have been there to help. I might not have found a wire hanger to steal from the Lady's Locker Room!

Is it just me or is the sour milk/sour Skittles commercial disgusting?!

Labor Day Weekend

Okay, Labor Day weekend is over and I managed to survive. It's been a while since I had a hangover that lasted an entire weekend. Sense of hearing is still a little sensitive but the headache is gone! :D Thank the stars this will only be a four day work week.

We had some friends over on Saturday, and spent the evening chomping on ribs, drinking beer, and making way too much noise. Oh, and watching the raccoons. They were watching us from the roof while we sat on the front porch. It seems the beasties live in the trees in our backyard.

It also seems that one of the women on the town council recently bought property that's been re-zoned as commercial. She lives a block East of me, and my family, and friends are now wondering if we are too mature to egg her house this Halloween.

Grab Bag

Well, Gonzales, the torture czar, will be gone some time in September (the 17th I think). Another rat leaving the sinking ship. This is the cretin who called the Geneva Convention "quaint". I wonder if he'd feel the same way after spending a few hours in a locked closet with my brother on full fart mode? He can peel the paint off walls three rooms away.

Dath Bane: Path of Destruction by Drew Karpyshyn. An excellent Star Wars novel, especially if you like cheering for the Sith.

I got a wonderful view of the lunar eclipse last night. And finally found out what's been digging holes in the ground cover around my roses. I thought it might be a dog, but no..... it's a family of raccoons. Baby 'coons are so cute! :D

Been working my way through Rurouni Kenshin. Only seen the fist volume so far, but Netflix has two more on the way. It's got my interest, but I'll need to see more before I pass judgement.

Fangirling!

Yahoo! Sesshomaru, my all time favorite daiyokai has a new arm and a new sword! :D Now he can hold Rin with one arm and hold his Bakusaiga while defending his love against some evil creature! *happy dance* And it's Friday! How can life possibly get any better?!

Rove: R.I.P.

Aw, Rove will be leaving at the end of this month. Now if only the rest of the loony neo-CONs would crawl off afterhim. This country has never had such poor leaders in its entire history. They have dragged America into a pointless war, and squandered our country's reputation and good name. In short, they have left America raped and bleeding by the roadside.

And the Democrats haven't done much better. They have more members! Have they used their numbers to make a stand on any noteworthy issue? No! All they do is whine about how "We don't have the votes." They have both Houses and they still act like a bunch of beaten wives. Watching them bend-over backwards onthe FISAvote made me cringe.

Thank You For Reading This!

I'm here to comment on anime. My viewing habits beyond anime are not your concern. I have chosen TV.com for this purpose because of the simplicity of it's set-up: every thing (more or less) has its own Forum.

Don't like my taste in anime? Too bad. Don't like my reviews? Too bad. Don't like how I respond to Polls, touchy Topics, or you....? Too bad.

I'll be civil, but I'm not here to win a popularity contest.

BadKarma99 wishes you a Happy Day! :D
