The episode begins with the tools dreaming of doing a major job and without knowing it, their dream comes true. They receive a call from a construction worker requesting assistance at a construction site in a town called Concrete Falls, amazingly Manny and the tools accept. They start preparing for their trip to Concrete Falls and they're extremely excited that they get to work on a construction project in another town. When they leave for Concrete Falls, who should take care of things while they're gone; none other than Mr. Lopart. Of course, the results are without a doubt hilarious. If you're wondering why is Mr. Lopart filling in for Manny. That's a good question. The answers lie in the episodes "Mr. Lopart's Mother," "Little Lopart," "Manny's Makeover," and "Long John Lopart." Handy Manny's Motorcycle Adventure

The episode Handy Manny's Motorcycle Adventure is about Manny and his herrimentias (tools) getting ready to go on the road for his reunion de familia (family reunion) and he very excited especially Abuelito, his older sister Lola and his nephews Chico and Pepe. Pat wonders if there's a family of hammers that are just like him. Manny assures Pat that he has a family, Pat however doesn't seem so sure of that. Manny and the tools head out on the road via motocicleta (motorcycle). While on the road the tools notice that the motorcycle is running low on gasolina (gasoline) and decide to pull into la estacion de gasolina (gas station) that's just up ahead. When they get to the gas station they realize that they la bomba de combustible (fuel pump) is broken and the gas station owner named Pop says that won't come to fix the fuel pump til Thursday, however that doesn't stop Manny and the tools from fixing the fuel pump. Pop is so impressed that he provides them refreshments for the road free of charge, as he's doing that a delivery truck with the picture of a hammer that looks identical to Pat. When Pat sees it he feels that his family maybe inside waiting for him. When Pat goes to take a look inside of the delivery truck Squeeze and Flicker follow and in the process end up getting separated from the rest of the group. When Manny and the tools notice that Pat, Squeeze and Flicker are missing; Pop tells them that the delivery truck is heading to a warehouse that's up the road. So, Manny and the tools head there, meanwhile at the warehouse Pat, Squeeze and Flicker look around to try and find Pat's family of hammers. However, Pat discovers that the family he had been searching for never existed and after a brief moment of disheartenment comes to the realization that what Manny said was true that he had one all along. After being reunited with Manny and the rest of the tools they head to the reunion where they meet Manny's Uncle Tito (who is a magician), his Aunt Sonia (who is muy intelligente (very smart) like Manny)) and his Aunt Lupe (who he says pinches his cheeks) who pinches Turner's cheek. At the end of the episode, Pat says "Do I have a family or what?" The episode includes four new songs including "Rolling" sung by the band Los Lobos (The Wolves). This episode is a very special one because it reminds us all of the importance of family and staying together by every means no matter what. I should know, mi familia (my family) gets together at least two to three times a year in order to remain a tight-knit family even if we're not living close to one another in the same town or state.

Mother's Day (This Sunday)

This Sunday is Mother's Day, which means if everyone hasn't purchased a card for their loving moms should do so before it's too late. Basically, what it means that everyone should at least have something special planned for the matriarchs that love them so much. I myself plan to treat my mother and my grandmother to a movie once I get off of work on Sunday of course. So, make sure everyone does Mother's Day exetremely special in any way they whether it's expensive or something really simple.

The Watchmen Movie

For a couple of days the trailer for the Watchmen movie based on the graphic novel of the same name appeared to be interesting. Some of us might have read the graphic novel and plan on seeing the movie whereas most of us have never heard of the graphic novel but plan on seeing the movie still because the trailer made it very appealing. Though I've never heard of the Watchmen, I plan on seeing it in the hopes that it will keep me on the edge of my seat.

Daylight Savings Time

In four days from now, Daylight Savings Time begins on the eighth of March. Meaning we a few extra hours of sunlight and eventually the first day of Spring will be right behind it in one week from now. Quite frankly, I'm to switch into my spring/summer attire and pack up my fall/winter attire muy pronto. Knowing some of you, y'all are ready for winter to finally be over and knowing some of you y'all aren't ready for winter to draw to a close just yet. I don't blame you one little bit. At least the winter season was one with it's ups and downs. No doubt about it.

Making promises and breaking them

How many people have had to make a promise for somebody (whether it be a loved one, neighbor or even a friend) and go to such lengths to keep it? Have you ever had to do everything you could to make good on that promise so that the person wouldn't feel like you can't be trusted again? Have you ever been down that road before? I have. There have been times when we feel conflicted with the number of promises that we make and trying to find ways of reinforcing those promises so that they wouldn't break. Everytime we try so hard to keep that promise something unexpected happens and we would feel so terrible we have that feeling that the person we made the promise to may never trust us again. But there's a silver lining to it: No matter how hard it gets, we always learn from our mistakes and keep those promises next time to avoid making the same mistake twice. And when that happens, it gets easier for everyone over time.

Finding Friends Old and New

Sometimes in life we all feel like we may never find our place anywhere when we leave the friends we grew up with behind and have to make new friends in a whole new town or city. Whenever we move to a new place at anytime in our lives, we feel like no one either knows us or wants to know us. Some of us may feel like that, then again we may not. However we may feel, deep down we must always remember that even in a new place, the friends we make will always help to give us a brand new lease on life.
