Got a damn Wii.  Dad called me from Wal-Mart while he was getting an oil change and I managed to snag the next-to-last one.  Expect some Wii and Virtual Console reviews in the near future, once the novelty of my new toy has worn off. Criticism always fills that void!

I called my local Gamestop on Saturday to confirm a shipment of Wiis that showed up on iTrackr about 8 hours prior.  They said they still had a couple left, but they sold out in the 15 minutes that it took me to drive to the mall.

This crap with the Wii never being in stock is driving me up the wall.  It's been out since f*cking November, damn it all!  I expected this sh*t for a couple of months after Christmas.  I've been very patient up to this point, but come on.  It is ludicrous that I cannot simply walk into a store and pay retail price for this piece of hardware six months after launch.  I simply cannot accept this scenario as normal.

I want to know what the problem is with getting these things into stores.  I've heard a lot of excuses: production, distribution, etc. That still doesn't answer the question of why I'm still not seeing any signifigant effort to remedy the situation?!  And I swear, if it ever comes out that Nintendo is intentionally holding back supply, especially after several of their reps have vehemently denied such allegations point-blank, I will quit Nintendo home consoles forever.

Notice I said home consoles.  No effing way I'm dropping my DS, that thing is pure pleasure in a bag.
