Tuesday Afternoon

Time for an update on my gaming life. I really haven't been playing alot of games lately. I've taken a long break from Psychonauts because I was stuck on some level. I was thinking of picking up Picross for the DS but never got around to it. I bought Bioshock today. Finally I have a game that I can really get into. I'm really looking foreword to playing this. If the full game is anything like the demo (Why the hell wouldn't it be?) then I am going to have alot of fun. Uhmm, I thought I had more to write.....Oh well, Thanks for reading. I'm off to Rapture!

Sunday Night

Hello and happy Canada day. It's been a long time since my last update so here we go! Not a lot is new in my social life, I've just been working. As for my gaming life, I bought and finished Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow for the DS which I thought was a great game, a little easy but great none the less. I also shelled out a hundred and something dollars for Guitar Hero 1 & 2 and a wireless guitar all for the PS2 which I am enjoying very much. I have beaten both GH games on easy and I'm currently working on beating both on medium. On friday I went over to a friends house and bought Psychonauts from him which I really like so far. Its got a great sense of humor and the platforming is fun. Well thats it for now, I hope all of you are doing well!

Thursday Night

Its been awhile since the last update and alot has happened since then. I got a new job working in Promo at my local Canadian Tire. Its a decent job but it tires me out and I nap alot when I get home. On Nov, 19th I got up early and went to Wal-Mart an hour before it opens and stood in line hoping to get a Wii. There were around 40 people in the line ahead of me when I got there and when the line had shortened to 15 people in front of me they announced there were out of Wii's. I was pretty disappointed that I wasn't able to get one. When I got back home I took a long look at the Wii's game lineup and thought "Do I really want this console?". I decided that, no, I didn't really want the Wii because the games just don't interest me. In my opinion other than Zelda there was nothing good and looking ahead there was also not alot of games that interested me. I decided to get an Xbox 360. There were already plenty of great games for it and more great games coming out. So later that day I went to Futureshop and bought some bundle that had the 360 console, a headset, Gears Of War, Ridge Racer, Ghost Recon and one month of Live. It was really worth it, I love my 360. The games look awsome and are fun, well except for Ghost Recon. I find that game lame and confusing. Ridge Racer is decent but I cant figure out how to do the main mission mode thing. I just beat Gears a couple days ago and I have to say, it is an excellent game. Sometime soon I plan to get the Live purchasing thing done so I can buy Uno and change my account name. Well, Thats all for now. If you want to add me on Live my nick is ThrashRat.

Saturday Evening

Its been quite a while since I last update my blog. First, the what's new in my life. Alot has changed in my life, for the summer I went to Yellowknife to work, now im back home and unemployed. I dont know what I'm going to do for a job, but I will find something. As for the gaming part of my life, There really hasn't been any. While in Yellowknife I brought my DS and my only DS game: Tetris. I didnt play it much but I did manage to pass 200 lines in marathon mode. Even though I'm back home and settled down (sort of), I really havn't been playing any games besides the occasional Tetris round. I have no real urge to go out and get games right now, maby once I get a job. I was planning to get Zelda for my Gamecube but it looks like its delayed ONCE AGAIN. I guess I'm just going to buy a Wii and Zelda with it. Well, I didnt think I would have much to say so I'm going to end this entry by saying, Thanks to everyone who is tracking me.

First Blog Post

I have finally decided to starting posting a blog on Gamespot. I'm going to try to stay away from talking about my boring social life and just talk about what games im playing and stuff like that. So for my first entry, I guess I'll tell you readers about what I'm currently playing. For my PS2 I'm playing Final Fantasy X. Its my first RPG so I wasn't quite sure if I would be able to easily get into it, but I surprisingly did. Early on as the game progressed it was showing me exactly what I needed to know in its in-game tutorial. Even though I was obsessed with it for the first couple of weeks I was playing it, I have kind of been playing it on and off recently because I'm stuck on this giant dragon boss, Evrae. In all my years of gaming, never has a boss been this hard....Oh well, eventually I will beat him. Then I can go back to obsessively playing FFX everyday. For my GBA I've been sporadically playing Super Mario World and Castlevania Double Pack. Last weekend I finally beat Bowser in Mario World, now I'm just trying to find all the secret exits which there are not a whole lot left since ive had alot of free time to look for them. In Castlevania Double Pack im stuck on another boss...hard bosses seem to be a trend for me lately...Anyways, the boss is Death and while he's no giant dragon he's just as hard to kill. I haven't been playing much of my others systems. My NES is still used to play SMB3 and Starstopics once or twice a week. My Gamecube is still collecting dust but that will change when Legend Of Zelda TP comes out. If your wondering about what I think about the next gen systems: I hate Xbox and will never be buying a 360, PS3 looks awsome but 600$ just to play Metal Gear Solid 4 is pretty steep. As for the Wii (terrible name) it seems to be the best of the three. The motion sensor gyroscope Wiimote thingy is one of the coolest innovations in gaming since the Zapper. For less than 250$ I'm seriously considering getting a Wii this holiday season. Well, thats all for now...
