The Scoop podcast

To The Scoop podcasters: I guess there's nothing wrong with sitting around and shooting the breeze, but don't diss something when you're guilty of the same thing, to a greater degree, that you're criticizing it for. Namely, the Oscars were nowhere near as boring as your podcast talking about them was. You stretched about 10 minutes of material into what seemed like 3 hours of podcast. Towards the end of the podcast, I was banging my head against the wall in agony. And what's boring to you might not be boring to someone else. One thing I think would improve The Scoop podcast is to do a trial run before you record. Try to anticipate the shows you might talk about as sidebars, and get your facts straight beforehand. One of you said Andy Rooney might have been one of the original contributors to 60 Minutes. No, Andy Rooney's segments on 60 Minutes started in 1978; the show started in 1968. It's right here on tv.com. You said almost all of CBS's shows had been renewed, and then listed about 10 that had been renewed. What about the rest? 10 isn't almost all. If this is the best tv.com has to offer as a podcast, I'm not sure it needs to offer one. I hope there's improvement in the future.
