After two long months in China far away from anything GA-related I made it back to Switzerland. When I eventually found the time, one weekend of watching one episode after another finally enabled me to catch up with my favourite season.
OMG, so much happened. Mostly I like it and I will now try to contribute a bit more constantly again :)
Oh, I got caught by Dr. House, too. Serial DVDs in China are so much cheaper! :)

A sunny saturday...

... is really, really nice. And for the first time after my first encounter with comics, I have been to a comic bookstore today. 'And it's all coming back to me now...' :)
The X-Men, The Authority, Planetary - I nearly had forgotten how much fun it is to read a comic. Yes, I might be a bit old for that now, but anyway, they ARE fun.
Uff, and now, the first wasp of the year has found its way into my room. I hope it will leave on its own, I am not looking forward to chasing it.
So, for the occasion, a bee picture :)
Have a lovely weekend!

My levels are completely gone and I have 0% completion?
This is more than strange. Perfect end for an awful day.

The time difference...

... is annoying me. Since most people on this board come from North America, I am always 6 hours ahead. If most posts are submitted in the evening, my evening is somewhere in NA's afternoon and your busiest discussion time is when I am soundly asleep. So I have to wait quite long after posting until somebody answers. Or I have to stay up really, really long (just every now and then... :) ).
Besides: I have seen they have recently put 'House' on the TV schedule. Is it any good and worth spending more time in front of the TV (watching Grey's Anatomy more than doubled my weekly TV time :) )? The description sounded quite promising.
Anyway, welcome to the pro-longed week-end - is the 1st of may an official free day 'over the ocean', too?
Schönen Tag der Arbeit

I just don't believe it! That was quite unexpectedly fast.
I still don't exactly understand what will give me how many points, but anyway: Great :)
I have also been searching other Grey's Anatomy fan pages today and I have to say: Except the Writer's Blog on the official site, this forum here is by far the most interesting one with the best written and significant contributions.
So, let's celebrate with a tart :) At least, I'll celebrate. You are kindly invited to join in

Much too early?
by *Migaira on Comments
Wow, it's only half past seven and I am already here for half an hour. Is it too early to work? That would not find much sympathy with a lot of bakers, nurses, doctors, ... I think, nearly everybody. Still: at university, it's pretty early. I am always the first one to show up. Perhaps it is because of that fact that I believe the early hours to be the best to get some work done. Nobody bothers you, the rising sun blinks into your window, you finally wake up... Yes, I should not complain. It's really the best part of the day. Although I have a friend who complains that he barely can get up in winter - he cannot rise before the sun :) Everybody is different. After years being grumpy in the morning, I love it now (okay, as long as you leave me alone in the first 10 minutes, stress in the morning is just awful :) ) So, all of you have a wonderful, sunny day!
Les choristes
by *Migaira on Comments
I have just seen ´Les choristes´, a french movie from 2004 about a failed musician who comes to an education facility full of boys who behave as bad as they can to teach there. He is a very kindhearted person and tries to better the kids by making them sing in a choir. He also befriends them, stands up for them against the mean headmaster and is the first one (besides the grandfatherly housekeeper) to take them seriously as persons and not only as ´failed and doomed existences´ that need to be punished for everything. It is a very cute movie, full of praise about music being able to heal people´s souls and hearts and bring the best out of everyone. Oh, and the boys actually DO sing like angels. (although that´s a pretty kitschy thing to say and I should wait 50 more years to talk like that :) ) Oh, and my favourite line from the movie is when the headmaster just releases the main character from his post because he went outside with the boys on a summer day (oh, and saved them with this from being burned from the fire that destroyed their sleeping rooms) by telling him "Go to the devil!". The musician who is just about to leave through the door turns back for a last time and says: "No, I won´t. I´m just leaving him!"
Never ever wrote a blog before

I don't believe in blogs. Really, I don't. For me, that seems too much like emotional striptease. So what am I doing here? :) I think, I have come to realize that it is completely my decision what I will present here and what not. So, no emotional striptease, only talk. :) Today, it's raining and I should finish my research report, but so far I did quite a good job of avoiding it by surfing around in the Grey's Anatomy forum. I am even writing a blog post, so it is really, really bad ;) Anyway, now that I have done that I need to get back to work. Wish everybody a nice day
