Hey.

I know.

And I'm sorry I ran away. :P

I don't know how much I'll be able to get on-- things have been crazy for the last few months with school and everything, and I'm actually leaving for Ireland in four days. So, "insert-excuse-here." I'll do my best to stick around this time, guys.

But I'll be honest. One of the main reasons some of us drifted away is because of the out of control posting. When it takes an hour ormore to catch up on what you missed for a day, the forum suddenly gets a lot less fun. So... I dunno. We'll see.

I just missed everyone so much and wanted to see if I could do this again. :)

It's Happening... (again)

So, yes. This past summer, I had at least two weeks of living out of my backpack and microwaving ramen for dinner.
Here we go again.
Mum and dad are leaving for a 10-day cruise tomorrow morning at 0430, so in 20 minutes I'm getting shipped off to good old Nana's. Fun times. I don't know how often I'll be able to get on.... on one side, I won't have my parents' stupid anti-comp rules hanging over my head, but on the other, the only place I get a connection over there is lying on the hood of Nana's Oldsmobile. As it's recently dipped to just abovefreezing, it's doubtful I'll be chilling (no pun intended) out in her garage too much. If I can find another connection, I'll do my best.
Spending weekends with Nana, and the week with my aunt and uncle, who I don't particularly like. I don't know what the connection situation is like over there, so we'll see.

i hate the flu...

So, I had my vaccine today. Instead of getting a shot, I got the FluMist, which is better and worse. The good is that I have this freaking MASSIVE phobia of shots... so I totally prefer the mist. You just breathe it in. The bad is that it leaves your mouth and throat hurting (and my throat was laready killing me), plus, it's a higher dosage, since it's less concentrated.
For anyone who doesn't know how vaccines work:
Basically, a vaccine is a small, watered-down version of a virus. Doctors administer it to your body so that your white blood cells develop antibodies to fight off the REAL infection if or when it ever comes around.
My problem is that vaccines have a major effect on me. Last time I got one, I ended up puking until late into the night with a raging fever. Now, I'm not feeling so hot.. my muscles are aching and I kind of feel dizzy. I'm worried that the same thing is happening to me again... and that would totally suck. I can't get out of school now... midsemester exams are approaching and I'm balancing a bunch of extra courses and projects.
So... yeah. This is why I hate the flu...

a bad case of the blahs...

Yep. I've got one.
:(
I might be babysitting my cousins today... I have to call, but first I want to take a shower. I have to finish a letter to my grandparents before I take the shower, though, and I still want to eat. I know I have to doo all this stuff, but I REALLY REALLY don't want to.
*mumble*
I'm stalling by writing this...

charlie the unicorn - >>clicky clicky

go to youtube... search "Charlie the Unicorn."
Watch the vid.
It's wicked stupid at the beginning (OK, so it's wicked stupid all the way through ) but I died laughing. And then was ressurected to tell you all about it.

Shunnnnn the non-believer. Shunnnnn... ssssssshhhhunnnnnNNNN...

the level

My baby's on the level
I try to read her mind
She's on the straight and narrow
I'm guessing all the time

But I can't see the road
If I'm looking at the signs
I'm carrying a load
And stepping out of line

I'm feeling v musical. :P Also, kudos go out to Tabs for alerting me to the Curse of Curves, which is a song that is so awesome it's... beyond awesome. YEAH!

My playlist this weekend:
Level - The Raconteurs
Satellite - Guster
Curse of Curves - Cute is What we Aim For
Aliens Exist - Blink-182

The latter's lyrics: just for Em, the X-Phile:

Hey mom! There's something in the back room
I hope its not the creatures from above
You used to read me stories
As if my dreams were boring
We all know conspiracies are dumb

What if people knew that these were real
I'd leave my closet door open all night
I know the CIA would say
What you hear is all hearsay
I wish someone would tell me what was right

Up all night long
And there's something very wrong
And I know it must be late
Been gone since yesterday
I'm not like you guys
I'm not like you

I am still the skeptic, yes you know me
We're best friends and will be 'til we die
I got an injection
Of fear from the abduction
My best friend thinks that I'm just telling lies

Up all night long
And there's something very wrong
And I know it must be late
Been gone since yesterday
I'm not like you guys
I'm not like you

Dark and scary, ordinary, explanation
Information, nice to know ya, paranoia
Where's my mother, biofather

Up all night long
And there's something very wrong
And I know it must be late
Been gone since yesterday
I'm not like you guys
Twelve majestic lies

heeheee.

hum de dum

so... I haven't blogged in a week. :(
I know.
You're devastated.
I'v just been busy. Parents were being stupid on Thursday, and didn't let me watch CSI or Supernatural, so I had a little illegal-downloading fest last night and got a wonderful Friday afternoon of crime and horror. :P Greg is still awesome, even if he is all beat up. :) I love him. Leggo my Greggo.
And Supernatural kicked ass, too; poor Dean, all his beliefs are being called into question.:? I bet Lenore will spread the word that the Winchester brothers aren't all that bad. *squee*
Plus, on Monday, I get fun time after school (in the form of the absebcce of parents), and, in order to appease them for the heinous crimes I will doubtlessly commit over the weekend, I'm thinking of making a surprise dinner. :)

The Plants Lost to the Dogs

The plants lost to the dogs. I ended up chilling with Han, my YG leader Becky (who rocks so much she bought us all doughnuts from DD on the way there), and a few other kids at the RISPCA (Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We painted about 20 kennels (big cells about 4x7 each), walked the dogs, spread gravel, cut the grass, cleaned the fountain, and spray painted designs on the building. It was awesome... and I didn't even get any outfits! (Tabbie gasps :P ) It was actually seriously fun to take care of the dogs. My best bud today was named Naomi... she was this HUGE Husky who apparantly was a little too rowdy to be adopted, so she was going into training to become a rescue dog. Her previous owners had neglected her and she'd been rescued by the SPCA. She loves soft toys and enjoys getting her paws rubbed. :)

A very good day in all.

A Great Day of Service

Huh. I surprised myself today by actually missing teaching Church School. Got a bunch of new clothes, though, so that mostly absolved me of my guilt. :P
Tomorrow is A Great Day of Service... (see blog below) which means Han and I and a bunch of random strangers are going to spend the day weeding out invasive plants or sorting through the lingerie pile at Sal. Army (which is what we did last year... beyond bleck.).
Personally, I'm voting for the invasive plants, though it is more than likely that I'll get, like, 20 new outfits if I brave the old underwear.
Huh.
What a dilemma.
