Darkness loomed over the big station.  Gordon, Sir Ralph and a Western were all in the station, and they were worried.

Gordon waited anxiously for the siren. 

(SOUND FX-SIREN)

All people cleared the station. Gordon’s crew stayed. 

“I hope the damage is not to bad.” The driver said.

(SOUND FX-AREOPLANE FLYING OVERHEAD, BOMB DROPPING IN THE DISTANCE)

Everyone was silent.

Gordon broke it.

“Goodbye, my engine friends,” He said sadly, “It is highly unlikely that any of us shall survive, so goodbye.”

“No, Gordon, go, we shall be alright, wont we, Western?” Sir Ralph said

“Yes.” Replied Western

“So, go, Gordon, and leave us for a while, ok?” Sir Ralph told Gordon.

“But, Sir Ralph…?” Gordon cried.

“Gordon go, we can manage, but look after Samantha for me, ok?”

“Yes Sir.”

So Gordon went, tears streaming down his face…

(SOUND FX-EXPLOSION nearer than last)

“Gordon, hurry!” Called Sir Ralph.

Gordon went as fast he was allowed on that section of track.

(SOUND FX-EXPLOSION IN THE STATION)

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, SIR RALPH!” Gordon cried.

But it was to late.

Sir Ralph was gone.
