Wow, I don't even know if anyone cares anymore! I've been away for over a year, and it feels oddly strange coming back. I am now living in Vancouver BC, attending University over here and finally having my life in order. For those who are still wondering, no I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I took a year to travel around the globe, pretty cliche, but it worked. I got over my grief of losing my best friend, and became motivated to go back to school and get focused. So for those who still wonder, I am okay now. :D

Ok, so a lot of my friends have been emailing me & some people here have been PMing me about my career change. It has to do with my past, I was never part of a gang, mind you, I was a jock, hanging with the bball team, tutoring after school, volunteering for clubs. There was a gang war going on. I dropped out on a normal high school experience after my sophomore year, because a gang cornered me in a locker hall (wrong place, wrong time)& pulled a gun on me& they said they would kill me if I showed up to a dance we were having. I went to a party& ended up stabbed, of course my parents pulled me out of school to do home-school.

Well, at my Junior College, I was jumped in a parking lot& stabbed 2 times& had a gun shot@ me, but it missed, luckily. I dropped that semester to heal& finished my time there after the gang was arrested. Later that yr, one of my friends was murdered in a park. I found out the girls were released on bail &they ran away from the crime scene, except for their leader. Well, since then, I have been jumped1 other time& my poor car paid the price. 2 girls& a guy jumped me@ a barbecue last summer, the guy tried tackling me, I shifted& slammed his head into my car. the two girls ended up with broken hands& noses, while the guy sustained a severe concussion.

Anyway, lastnight I got phone call, from my best friend saying her baby sister was shot multiple times& didn't make it. Now, a lot of asian girlsback in San Diegoare often mistaken for one another. C-Dawg, was a basketball player like me, dressed in bball shorts & t-shirt. always has a ponytail, somebling, iPodinon with a ball in her hands&alwayshasnew kicks on her feet. Anyway, there was a driveby & she was the target. My BF is torn up & I feel SO guilty, it should've been me! She was on her way to a full ride to Stanford, and was going to become a lawyer, while I am a washed up baller who is trying to help her family out...I want justice to be served, that is why I want to become an officer, to make those people pay!

R.I.P. C-Dawg! #18 will be forever remembered!!!

Alright, I'm finally back in my home of Nebraska. Compared to the Cali weather, this is bad. It only reached 82 degrees, but hasbeen stormy weather, nothing massive hashappened, luckily. I am in my old room, which is REALLY SMALL compared to what I had in SD. Anyway, my dad is looking and sounding better, but he lost all his hair, due to the Chemo. But he is getting stronger everyday!

Enough of that! I am back and ready to start posting once again. I am slowly getting into a routine, and have found a way to make time for one of my all-time favorites: Ned's De****fied! We have cable over here, and I am now able to catch all the reruns of Ned's and I haven't been happier! I just checked out the Team Fighting Weasel website (check out Dirk4MVP's signature, and hit the link to check it out)and it's great so far! Even though I am in a total funk right now, I can't resist the whole PotterMania! Luckily I hadn't unpacked everything, it only took me until 5am this morning to finish. At 8am, my book was delivered! I called home and my dad was happy because he got his too. It's cheesy, but it's my dad and my way of staying connected. He was actually smiling while he spoke into the phone! He hadn't for a long time, I mean, he would, but it was fake. This was genuine and I almost cried!

I have been reading non-stop since 12pm, when I was done getting everything (just like 3 suitcases, glad I left ALL my stuffat home)in myfriend'sSuburban. I leave tomorrow at 3am. So I am on page 405 in the book as of now, and I am so antsy! I'm going to try and save the rest for the plane, but I doubt it.

Just curious, did anyone dress up and stand in line til midnight? I didn't, but there were a lot of people wandering around late dressed in robes and stuff. I won't be on for about a week, to get settled at home. Hope everyone has a great week!

I'll be moving back to Nebraska, and have to take time off from school for a long time, and only work to help support my family. I found out today from my parents that my dad has stage 3 cancer, and is having reactions (bad) to the chemotherapy. He hasn't eaten in 3 days and the cancer has spread to his kidneys. They've known for a week already, and never told me till now. So I am depressed...:cry:

I am still trying to find a silver lining, but I doubt their is one. Look at me, I am being all pessimistic, but it's hard. I'm going back to my old job in Nebraska, working for a construction company as a draftsperson. Good pay, but I really don't want it to be my career. Family first though, right? I may not be on all the time anymore, but I'll try to keep in touch with you all, in between moving and work.

well, it's already July, where has the time gone? It seems like it's only been a few days since the beginning of a new year, and now we're more than 1/2 way through 2007! I hope everyone has an awesome 4th of July tomorrow, I have 3 barbecues to go to, and a day on the surf! My roommates are back and we have some partyin to do. Although, it sux with the whole fireworks being banned thing, but oh well. Have fun everyone! And be safe!! :)

I got my grades via email from my professor and found out I aced the finals and ended up with 2 A's! I was flippin out, but it's all gravy now. And I am SO happy my level is back to normal, although the level 10 thing caught me off guard...I was expecting 7 or 8. But I'm not complaining! Now I have a history class starting today that I forgot about...

Iam slowly giving up onNick...especially once I get cable. From what I've heard, they're screwing everything up for weekend viewers...so I am no longer going to get my hopes up...and sadly I think it's the beginning of the end for Nick...I don't know how many people agree with me, but this is my opinion.

I am officially flipping out! My Advanced Chemistry andJournalism 7 Finals has been moved from next Friday to tomorrow! We just found out today, I am having mixed emotions...on one hand, I feel totally unprepared, but on the other hand, I get done one week early, and I can go home to visit my family for a couple weeks. WISH ME LUCK!

On another note, since my level hasn't changed, I guess it's time for me to contribute once again. I worked so hard for that level 7 and within a very short time, I was there, but seeing as how almost everyone is back to where they originallywere, and I'm still atlevel 1 @ 84% (better than the other night...I was at 10%), I better get to working...after my finals...

I am 20 years oldand I am acollege student, I used to live in York, Nebraska, but moved to San Diego, California just over a year ago. I was attending University of Nebraska right after high school, but decided to take a some timeoff and travel to Europe for a few months, which is something I DON'T REGRET!

I now live in a new apartment in SD, just outside of the USD campus, and like 10 minutes away from the beach! So I plan on chillin with a book and my iPod. At least when I'm done unpacking. My friends are all on vacation with their families, so I am solo for the first time. Kinda weird when my family is all in Nebraska...thus, the reason why I am online at 3:50am.

Anyway, I am now majoring in Journalism and Sports Medicine, my two loves. I have always loved English and Literature, I always have a book handy if I'm not typing something on my laptop and listening to my iPod. Sports is also a big part of my life, I coach youth volleyball, basketball and softball and I have studied Martial Arts for 10 years and have a3rd degreeblack belt in Shotokan.Music is my last passioncan't live without it!), I've played guitar for8 years anddrums for 2.
