I felt bad I mentioned my fish as a hobby. I do have a dog too but he more like part of family. He is going to be 5 years old on march 13th. I watched him being born. it is very gross but one of the coolest things I have seen. He was black and white with a tiny upside down nike symbol on his back. He was so tiny and cute and I knew then that I had to have him. Then my husband told me I could have him for a birthday present, only we ended up getting him at 3 1/2 weeks old because his mother got sick and died. We had to get him tested for this illness that killed his mother. Then his vet. told us we may never be able to save him even if he didn't have it. the test came back and he was fine. we took him home and had to feed him with a special puppie bottle with special puppy formula. it took him awhile to do alot of things other uppies his age were doing. his teeth didn't grow in right away becasue he wasn't getting the milk from his mother. we had to give him baths every other day to keep him clean. He is fine now but I tell you it was hard. He is one of two of that litter that survied and the other one the vet kept. my dogs name is Cain and he and his brother Lucky hang out together alot. Cain was a problem from the begining but he is like a cat having nine lifes. He has been hit by a truck and broke three toes. he has had bandages on his feet four different times from stupid accidents he got into. He has had four surgerys and each time has had two walk around with that lamp looking thing on his head.I won't even mention how much money I have paid in vet bills. My dog Cain is treated like a family member. My relatives send him birthday cards and we even have a birthday party every year for him. His grandmother makes him a cake. He gets birthday and christmas presents. He was like my first baby.
