This TV Season

Well, England and America are on different times, TV-wise, so here are the shows that I'm going to try and keep up with this TV season and what country I'm going to follow:

House MD - American time (starts 25 September)

Heroes - American time (starts 24 September)

The Office US - American time (starts 27 September)

Grey's Anatomy - American time (starts 27 September)

LOST - Probably UK, because the episodes are shown here about 4 days later than in the US

Brothers and Sisters - Undecided, as I'm currently watching it on UK time. I'll probably finish S1 here and then catch up with S2 US-time (starts 30 September)

American Idol - UK time, if I end up watching it

Ugly Betty - UK time

Desperate Housewives - probably UK time, because I have a feeling that DH isn't too far behind theUS. Even if it is, I'll probably watch it on UK (starts 30 September)

Scrubs - US time

Psych - UK time

Doctor Who & Torchwood - Obviously UK time. (DW christmas episode is on at, you know, christmas)

As for any new shows, I'm thinking of giving Private Practice a go - US time (starts 19 September). Anything else I'll just take on recommendation.

House MD

I can't tell you how much I've suddenly fallen in love with this show. I haven't been this obsessed about something since Harry Potter, back when I was 11. I've become so obsessed that it's lessening my more minor obsessions with other tv shows - not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Regardless, I love it. I love the snark, the familiar structure, the characters and the writing. I love the fact that Hugh Laurie is so unbelievable (another one of those people who make me proud to be English). I love the fact that all of the characters are so wonderfully messed up. Most of all, I love the House/Wilson relationship - they're like the Odd Couple, just prettier. Wilson is possibly my favourite character I guess the idea of someone who is completely screwed up, but hides all the dysfunction under a mask of normalcy and niceness speaks to me. I love characters that aren't quite what they first seem.

So, anyway, House has given me, among other things, my first 'ship' to obsess about. If only Fox were a little more accepting of male slash xD All I can say is, I can't wait till Season 4 and as long as the show continues to bring me plenty of Wilson, with tonnes of House/Wilson along with it, I'll continue to be just as obsessed and just as fangirly.

This post was pointless, but I suddenly (and quite randomly) felt the need to put it out there.

Umm...

What the hell...I used to be level 7 and all of a sudden...I'm level 0 and I have 0%. Wtf?

Just wanted to get that out there. Damn.

EDIT: Oh look, it has magically been fixed. Cool.

Hi...

Hi everyone...I'm Lauren. I love watching good tv (or what I think is good tv, there's generally a difference), especially sitcoms. I love shows with wit and style and intelligence and I love a bit of drama every now and then - especially if it can make me cry (which, admittedly, doesn't take much). Er...that's about it. ;p
