*salutes* Cheers mates!

Alright me hearties, I bid ye a fond farewell. In about 14 hours (leaving my house at 6:30am tomorrow and getting picked up at 7) I am on my way to NYC, though I won't actually be in the city until Monday. I'll be back on Thursday night.

I promise I will bring back lots of pictures :) I plan to go camera happy down there.

Hold the fort down and keep on DL shippin'! *hugs everyone*

Updates

~ I went to see The Dark Knight on Friday evening. One of the best movies I've ever seen. The Joker did a "magic trick" with a pencil (you have to see the movie to get it) and everyone clapped. The action was superb, the acting was terrific, and I can see why Mr. Ledger had nightmares about his role. He absolutely nailed the evil laugh, which had to be about the creepiest thing I've ever heard.

~ My aunt had to put her dog to sleep last week. He was 15, almost blind, pretty much deaf, and his back legs always gave out on him. He was my uncle's dog, who passed away in 2005. So now I feel like I've lost him all over again.

~ Our hotel for NYC has changed. We're now two blocks over, in Clinton (aka Hell's Kitchen). Really, it doesn't make that much of a differenc. I was initially disappointed because I found out about my aunt's dog on the same day, so that didn't help at all.

~ I'm slowly getting ready for our trip. We leave a week this Sunday. We have to be at our local train station by 7am, and a charter van will pick us up and drive us to the bus. Where that is I don't know; they didn't tell us.

~ The Highland Games are this weekend. They're basically a celebration of the Scottish heritage - there are games, activities, competitions, and more. I've bought all my weapons from the Games, and I plan to buy more on Sunday. I already plan to purchase a Sgian Dubh ("skeen-doo", which is essentially a small hunting knife with a serrated edge) and at least one sword.

Yes, these weapons are real. I currently own four swords, a dagger, and two Sgian Dubhs. All but two swords are very real and very sharp. One is made of wood, and the other is real but has no edge. It does have a sharp tip though.

~ I was sick all weekend and slept a lot. But I was still tired after that :/ at least I had it now and not in the next two weeks.

Alright, that's it for me today. You all have a good one today. I'm heading up to the Lido deck to catch some canon rays, sip on some fruity drinks, and stare at the cabana boys that look like Flack. Any that resemble Danny are going straight into the pool *wicked grin*

New. York. City!!

Only 17 days left. I've been waiting for this trip since May.

I'm off to NYC for five days with my mom. We leave on August 3rd and come back on the 7th. It's a bus trip, and we get picked up in my city and travel as far as New Columbia, Pennsylvania for the first night. It's a town about three hours from NYC. The next morning we go into Manhattan and get a tour of the financial district, including Wall Street and the South Street Seaport. That evening we go to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, which gives you an incredible view of the city. The next day we get a tour of NBC studios in the Center, and then we have the day to ourselves. For that day we plan to see:

-St. Patrick's Cathedral (aka the LRC walk)
-Empire State Building
-Grand Central Station
-Bryant Park and the Library
-Madison Square Garden
-CBS store (which I plan to raid)
-Central Park, including Strawberry Fields and the MET (aka the sight of the "love handles" scene in 'Commuted Senences')

The next day, as a group, we go to Battery Park where we take the ferry over to Liberty and Ellis Island. My mom and I plan to see the latter and maybe get a tour of the place. Afterwards we're free again. So, we're going back to Battery Park where we'll visit:

-Ground Zero
-walk across the Brooklyn Bridge
-Fulton Ferry Landing (aka the skylines vs. wheatfields exchange in 'Stealing Home')
-take either a cab or the subway back up to Times Square

Our hotel is right around the corner from TS.

I'm hoping we'll have enough time to see everything. There are some places we want to see more than others.

I'm so psyched for this trip. It's only a few days but it'll be the best five days of my life *squees*

*returns from being MIA*

*waves to everyone*

I've been lurking here for a little while and decided to come back. My pal Brina left me a trail of M&Ms to follow, and they mysteriously ended up here. I've always viewed the people here as really sweet, funny, and kind. Not every board has that, and it's great to be in a place where I don't need to be concerned about people attacking me just because I love DL/Lindsay/Anna. This is a great place to hang out and discuss the show whilst being surrounded by like-minded fans :)

Love! *hugs and kisses*

first entry

Hey there everyone, how goes it? Still getting used to this site, though I signed up way back at the beginning of June and I'm just starting now.

Umm...well as you can see from my 'about me' section and profile picture, I'm addicted to CSI:NY and D/L. It's my favourite show thanks to Gary Sinise, whom I absolutely love. I saw him in 'Of Mice and Men' in high school and was blown away. Of course, Danny and Lindsay play a crucial role as well. I cannot begin to express my love for these two; they are just so amazing. This goes for both the characters and actor/actress. Kudos to them for creating something so beautiful. My avvie was made by my friend, whom is also a D/L fan, and I do have a banner except that it won't let me upload for some unknown reason. That makes me very sad :(

Thanks to all who have welcomed me in the M&Ms club as well as the 'We Support Lindsay Monroe' thread. Greatly appreciated shipmates.

I'm rather enjoying my stay here aboard the Dantana. Don't plan to get off anytime soon :)

Cheers xx
