Surprise!!!

To celebrate the fact that Lyca talks a lot (Joke! Joke!) :) and the fact that I've been lurking around here long enough to have accumulated 500 posts, we have prepared a great gift for all of you.

For Lycaness's 4000th post

And Truckergirl's 500th post

Here it is:

We have written a fic like no other.

This fic is written as a choose-your-own-adventure story. You will have to help Sam to make the right choices so he can save his brother's soul. Be careful, though. There are many pitfalls if you choose poorly.

I stole another quiz... Does that make me a Klepto?

The soudtrack of my life is truely bizzare... which totaly fits with my life so far. Course it's my own fault for having so much different stuff on my Zen. Some of the stuff that came up randomly weren't even songs. Check the Death scene... Here's your sign! :)

You are supposed to put you IPOD, media player, CD player, or whatever you have on shuffle. Whatever song is first you put for #1 and then so on. NO CHEATING! You have to put whatever song is next!.

Sequels and writer's block...

So I got the next to storys in my "Dream Come Ture" fan-fic series up, even though I hadn't originaly planned for it to be a series. Writing fan fic is kind of addicting, though. I wonder if there is a 12 step program for this particular addiction? :?

Part two is "All Wrapped Up", and part three is "Reaping the Whirlwind",both can be found in the fan fiction section of http://www.sanctuary.frih.net  (Reapin the Whirlwind gets steamy, though, so if you object to the boys getting involved in relationships, stop after All Wrapped Up.)

My real problem is that I've laid down all kinds of hints in part three, but I can't seem to get part 4 to flow. Everything I try to write is just coming out all blah... Not up to my standards, and definately far short of the way Supernatural deserves to be treated.

Maybe this summer when I'm SN deprived I'll be able to find the words just to sooth my craving for all things Winchester.

On another note... All Hell Breaks Loose, Part 1 - OMG! What can I possibly say? No, really... I've got so much I want to say, but most of it would be spoilers. I guess I'll have to settle for a virtual hug for Dean and a teary, "We love you Sammy!"

I can't wait for next Thursday, so many questions answered! And, if Kripke is true to form, as many more new questions to keep us hanging till next season!

Writing is...

Ok, so I tried my hand at writing fan fiction for the first time. You can see my efforts at http://www.sanctuary.frih.net , along with other fan fiction from Libra113 and Lycaness. If you are a fan of Supernatural, I highly recomend Libra's and Lyca's work, and would be honored if you'd read mine, too.

It's called "Dream Come True", and it's a 'what if' sort of story. What if a devoted fan of the series was suddenly zapped into Sam and Dean's world and went on a hunt with them?

I've discovered, though, that writting is hard work. I'm good at the details, but I've found that I'm kind of lazy when it comes to writting the hard scenes, like fights. I don't like my characters to get hurt. I'm going to work on that in the sequel, though.

Go read it, and leave me a comment. I don't take criticizm personally, and in fact would love to know what I can do to make the next one better.

Props

So I made my first purchase on Ebay the other day, and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival. It's a necklace. A brass amulet. If you watch Supernatural you have seen it before. Around Dean's neck.

When I was hooked on Buffy I started wearing black jeans and t-shirts, and even had a black belt with a silver buckle and the occasional red or purple shirt to toss over the whole ensemble. Yeah, I was dressing like Spike. Even bought a pair of Doc Martins.

Now it's Supernatural, and my favorite character is Dean. And yes, I'm wearing a plaid shirt over a t-shirt.

I'm a girl. Why do I feel the urge to dress like my favorite male characters?

I'm not really sure, but I think it's because I'm trying to bring some of the characteristics that I admire about the character into my own life. Like Spike's love of life, or Dean's bravery. Maybe.

Or maybe it's just cause I'm tired of being me and want to be someone else for a while.

Birthdays and fevers

Wow, it's March already. Five people in the family (including Your's Truely)  have birthdays this month, so we are planning one big party for everyone. I'll be turning 31 on the 13th.

Almost everyone in the house has Strep, and we are all on antibiotics. Fevers and chills and sore throats all around. We're a pretty miserable bunch - except the kids, who are enjoying a couple of days off school.

We've switched to a ten hour a day, four day a week schedule at work, so I don't have as much time to log in here during the week as I used to. Most of my spare time is going toward getting my novel finished. I'm on chapter nine and still plugging away at it. It's about a detective who can see ghosts, which made me very nervous when I saw the previews for the new serise Raines, because it looks like it's got a similar premise, but I think there are enough differences to be safe.

I can't even watch the premire for Raines to be sure though, cause it comes on the same night that Supernatural does. And I'm NOT missing SN!

Ah, well. Maybe I can catch in in re-runs. I like Jeff Goldblum, and the show does look kind of neat.

Just what the World needs - More Demons on TV!

I just read that CBS is going to be starting a new serise this summer (premiering im June I think) called Demons. It's about a priest/psychologist who performs exorcisms. As a fan of all things paranormal, I will definately be checking this one out. Nothing will ever take the special place that Supernatural holds in my heart, but this one sounds like it might make a good filler for those long Supernatural-less summer months.

And I'm glad to see another show that is willing to delve into the realms of the unknown.

Also, I'm excited to learn that there will be a Supernatural comic book coming out this spring. It's going to reveal some of the events that shaped Sam and Dean's early years, and I can't wait to get my hands on an issue. I'm hoping it will get into how much Papa Winchester knew, and what Dean was doing in New Orleans just before he went to pick up Sam. The interview I read said that Missouri would definately be in it.

I guess summer won't be quite as bad a dry spell.

Greeting from a Fan-Geek

OK, so I'm not too experienced with blogging, but here goes...

I'm a huge Supernatural fan, and I love Buffy, Angel, Anita Blake novels, Hellblazer comics, Sandman, and basically anything that deals with magic and the supernatural in modern life. Recently I've discovered Harry Dresden. I've seen the first two episodes of The Dresden Files, and I hear that they are based on a series of books. So far I really like the show, but it's not going to replace the special spot that Supernatural holds in my heart.

The story and actors of Supernatural are supurb, and if you havn't seen it I highly recomend it. In fact, this show has inspired me to complete fan-geekdom. I have started a fan site. Well, it's not just for Supernatural, but for all stories that deal with paranormal events and people, especially the characters who hunt evil. It's set up like a resource for hunters, full of information about fantastic creatures and magic.

I'm such a geek, but I don't care, I have fun.

Other shows that I have enjoyed keep getting cancelled after one, or even half, a season... like Jake 2.0, Surface, Threshhold, Invasion, Carnivale...

I really hope Supernatural has a long run.
