With Tekken 6 on our doorstep, only a week away for the North American market and 10 days for the European gamers, I thought it would be appropriate to pay tribute to the King of the series.

This Mexican wrestler simply known as King has been with us from the start, always wearing that jaguar mask, never revealing his face. Utilizing his wrestling skills to take down opponents, his deadly combos leave no man or woman standing. Seriously though, he has some long and brutal combos.

I remember the first time I played Tekken. While scrolling through the characters, I laid my eyes on King, his awesome appearance had me hooked. At that time I was pretty young and didn't really try to learn anything advanced, I just liked him and therefore I used him a lot. It was when I got a little older that I discovered the real awesomeness in him. Killer combos, powerful hits and stylish moves, that's all I need. One of the bad things about him though, is the fact that he is kind of slow in comparison to some of the other characters, which makes him a little vulnerable. But once he gets his hands on you, the round might very well be over.

Of course there are a lot of interesting fighters in the game, but King has always been and will always be my favorite of the bunch. Why? Because no one can replace him, no not even Armor King. King is an appropriate name for this fearsome combatant.
