Semi-old great game of the week #2

Blood sucking vampires ready to eat you. Sound good? Then keep on reading.

This week's recommendation is Vampire The Masquerade: Blood Lines

This blood sucking title was released back in late 2004 and brought a unique experience to the market. It portrays a World of Darkness in which vampires and werewolves exist, and it throws you right into the mix. The strength of this game is really the atmosphere, which is simply phenomenal. It is really immersive and makes you like you are part of the world.

You play as a character that you create choosing from a variety of vampire clans and customize his/her skills to your liking. After that you set out to explore parts of LA and socialize with both the natural and supernatural community. There are a ton of missions to take on as you progress through the game to earn experience and be able to improve your character. You will have a great time exploring every little corner and take part of the plot.

The source engine, which is in my opinion one of the greatest engines of all time, keeps the game from feeling out dated even though it is 5 years old. There are some bugs in the game. A couple of patches have tried to fix these issues, and they have to some extent, but the game can be pretty messed up from time to time.

It can be a little hard to come by if you want a physical copy, but if you have a Steam account just go to the store and get it from there. The price isn't too high. It's definitely worth it.
