They've already sold more together in little under two months than the Wii U has in a year. I guess if you pad both of them out separately onto a timeline, that's something under four months. Not to mention the Wii U came out much earlier, and didn't have two other consoles competing with it for the public's attention as a new console.
Oh, and yeah, it's been out way longer, it has more games. If anything, the gap between the PS4 and XB1 will close in the coming months, instead of widening.
