You basically just posted a long-winded version of "Pascal's Wager" which is basically saying it's better to take your chances and believe than to not believe.
Pascal's wager fails when you account for how many religions exist besides your particular brand of Christianity, and that the odds that your beliefs are the "correct" ones are extremely small.

Been playing the alpha for a bit. It's not too bad, although I don't think it'll compete in the eSports scene with games like DotA 2 or League of Legends yet.
If you can find a way to create a friendly community in a MOBA you will have tons of players. And I'm convinced it is possible. Maybe by separating the people who play to win from the people who play to have fun. They want to be separated.
League has tried that with "Normal" games vs "Ranked" games. The only real difference you get is that the toxicity is just more intense on their Ranked games than their Normal games.
I think the real problem is that the genre is a combination of a team-based game, that requires serious team-based coordination to win, and it's Free-to-Play. So, raging and trolling will eventually get your account banned, but there's nearly no personal investment since you can just create another account and play again.
