Why do some games just take off and others relish in mediocricy? Tell me reasons why there are just some games that everyone play.

I have heard many mixed reviews about the game and what I have heard is generally positive. But it is those comments that are not generally positive that keeps me wondering. I have heard that the muliplayer is quite repetitive. Tell me what you think and if I the game is worth it and not just another Call of Duty 4.

What game will you remember the most about in a time of reflection. What game has given you the best times, endless memories, and long lasting effects? One that will stick with me is Goldeneye. It was one of the first games I ever got. I can still remember those sunny days with everybody in the neighborhood playing multiplayer. Good times.
