What's everyone's beef with the other consoles?
I remember back when I had my SNES, the Genesis was out, and I remember some of my friends having it
and not an SNES, but I never complained or pointed out its downfalls, we just played video games and had fun.

Even with the N64 and PS1, I owned both at different times, and hardly anyone ever complained. You either had a PS1 and liked those games better, or you had an N64 and liked Nintendo's games!

Then, with the Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2, things got a little bit more hectic, and people would choose the system they liked the best and wouldn't really want to play any other...I remember countless times people would crack jokes about my little tiny Gamecube.
Here's a good one I remember:
"You know what they say about guys with small gaming systems..."

:lol:, I just looked past it and kept gaming and having fun.

But then....yes...then....the awe-inspiring 'Next Generation' of gaming consoles was released, and all hell broke loose!
Millions swarmed around their console of choice and went into a stage or relentless torment against all other life forms that wouldn't conform to worshipping their beloved Wii, or PS3, or Xbox360 every day for the rest of their lives.

Never in my life have I seen such relentless nagging about a simple gaming console. People point out the other's weak points, then continue to ridicule the owner of said console to the point of madness!

I guess a simple guy like me growing up with the fond memories of when everybody just got along can't find his place in these system wars. Sure, I owned a Wii, I didn't like it all that much, so I sold it. I never ridiculed anyone for owning 'the little kiddie console'. People like that are just ignorant. I own an Xbox360, but I still don't make fun of anyone that doesn't.

I just think it's rediculous, but I guess no one can ever change it. We must all decide for ourselves how we are going to act towards others, and that isn't my place to voice my opinion in.
